My experience in College of Engineering and Management

Overall Rating
I was not at all aware of the existence of this college. I came to know about this college from the KEAM allotment options list. I opted for this college because I got admission here through a state merit seat. College life is average, and I am satisfied with my college life. Some teachers stick with the syllabus whereas some are very supportive and encourage us to acquire skills for working in the industry but not everyone is like that.
 

Academics Rating
Now talking about the academics, they are not exactly up to the mark because it has a more theoretical approach which I think should not be that strong instead practical learning should be encouraged. It is essential to remember that you should not rely on the syllabus entirely but develop your own skill sets to get into the industry.
 

Faculty Rating
There are enough faculties available in the college and they have a good knowledge of the subjects they are teaching. All of them are well-educated and are from good families. Most of them are supportive towards extracurricular activities and developing skill sets which are essential for working in the industry. So, with their support and constant effort we can achieve a good career in the engineering field.
 

Placement Rating
Yes, we have an active Placement Cell in the college. It provides us with opportunities which we can utilize but the placement packages are average.
 

Hostel Rating
There is a hostel facility, but the food is average and there should be more hygiene maintained. The rooms are decent, but the washrooms are not up the mark. There is a table tennis room for playing in leisure time. It would have been even better if we had a productivity area in the Hostel.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of the college is good. There are Computer labs, Civil workshops, Mechanical workshops, Electrical and Electronics workshops, Electronics and communications labs to develop our skill sets.
 

Campus Rating
I am satisfied with the campus life. It’s pretty decent. We can enjoy our engineering life, and we can balance our social and academic life easily but also remember that you will have to put efforts on your own too. Nobody will put external pressure or force us to study, they will only give us opportunities but it's our choice if we want to grab or not.

    I got admission through the Kerala Entrance Test (KEAM). There are Management Seats also in college. I had tuition fees of about 35000+. Because of the merit seats of management, it reaches up to 70000+. The college is near to Alappuzha Railway Station also.
