My experience at SDCRI, Ganganagar

Overall Rating
Before I joined this college, I was skeptical about my decision as the college is far away from the city I live in. But after joining I realized that my decision was absolutely worth it because the faculty here is very good & the infrastructure as well. I would recommend others to join this college because the all over facility provided to us is very good. The professors are very clear in every subject and departmental HODs are very helpful.
 

Academics Rating
First of all, we have to secure minimum score in NEET UG to pursue dentistry (BDS). Students are required to do the counseling procedure in SMS College, Jaipur and after that they will receive an allotment letter to join this college.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members are very clear about the subjects because every one of them excel in their individual subjects and all the members have studied from prestigious dental colleges like Manipal, PGI Chandigarh, etc. The teachers are well versed with the techniques they use to clear our concepts.
 

Placement Rating
Basically, there is no Placement Cell in our college. We have to appear for NEET MDS and then we have to qualify MS and according to our rank we can pursue our MD degree among various specialties like oral surgery, conservative endodontics, etc. So, in my opinion, there are no placements in my college. After pursuing your degree, you have to work hard for getting good placement in other hospital.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, there is a good residential facility in my college. There are separate girls’ and boys’ hostel with very good security provisions. Girls can stay out of their hostel till 7:00 PM. Boys have attendance at 9:30 PM. We have a mess where the food served is average. The hostel infrastructure is not so bad. There are various sports facilities for us like badminton field, tennis court, basketball field, etc.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Basically, there are nine departments which are Medicine Radiology, Orthodontic, Periodontics, Conservative and Endodontics, Paedodontics, Prosthodontics, Public dentistry, Pathology, and others. The first department in a single building and the Pathology department in a separate building which are meant for pharmacy students because our college is a combination of both pharmacy and BDS. We have library for every course i.e., separate for the Pharmaceutical & Dentistry students.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is very good. We have different celebrations like Ganesh Chaturthi, Shivaratri, etc. Freshers party is the biggest celebration in our college in which the seniors welcome their juniors and there are also various activities including horse riding and annual sports.
