Overall Rating
Great Lakes Institute of Management has helped me to shape my career in diverse environment. The institute has provided me with best assets and curriculum. My business knowledge has increased and enhanced. I made my option to choose this institute because the faculty is immensely motivating and top notch. Being taught from top industry experts and big premium faculties who are teaching there too have made me choose this institute. You can go for institute with healthy environment, diverse curriculum, and best faculties to make your future go for it.
 

Academics Rating
The course is of trimester unit. One has quizzes, mid semester and end semester as evaluation and then the marking is done on relative basis. A student needs to follow and maintain a specific grade to sustain here. The minimum CAT/XAT/CMAT percentile is average and the evaluation further is through WAT (written test) then interview round for showing personality. The screening tests and interviews are not that tough to crack but one needs to be fluent and confident. Further, the institute holds accreditations from foreign institutes as well.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties are from big premium IIM, so the teaching power is no less than others. Faculties have unique way of evaluation by group projects and presentations to showcase the student’s intellect and enhance the communication and articulation. Faculties help the students not only in academic but shape them industry wise also.
 

Placement Rating
Great Lakes Institute of Management holds itself with placement committee to handle the placement of the batches. There is even corporate regulations learning classes held for students to train them for corporate ethics and etiquettes. The institute holds the average CTC of 12 Lakh Per Annum for PGDM and brings top consulting, BFSI, and marketing companies like KPMG, Deloitte, Gartner, etc.
 

Hostel Rating
Great Lakes Institute of Management holds residential facilities with single, double, and triple sharing facilities. The infrastructure is quite good and hygienic. We have common washroom but it’s well maintained with geyser and showers supply. The hostel holds Wi-Fi facilities and laundry system to maintain dirty cloths too.
 

Infrastructure Rating
There are 2 blocks: A and B block. Each holds academic and management related classes as well as staff holding systems. The hostels and academic area is well connected and with IT system support and Medical Room to help the student during health issues. The institute holds 24-hour free Wi-Fi and well adequate library to study. There are cabins for group study or interview preparation also.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life holds so much adventure be it in an academic way or enjoyment way. The vast nature that the campus could accommodate and give everyone space to grow well. We have celebrations of every festival and fest to encourage other B schools to participate and compete with our students. The institute has multiple committees as well as clubs to maintain and enhance the extra curriculums like placement, alum, sports, etc.

  • GLIM is mainly for IT students

    Everything is good about Great Lakes Institute of Management but just the fact that they have made the course to accommodate engineers more. A percentile of 85-86 is required to go for the next rounds at Gurgaon campus and over 90 for the Chennai campus. The most annoying thing was that for GD and PI rounds enrolment we had to pay a fee. Out of around 7-8k students just 400-500 were selected and I have no idea how the selection was done because my 4 mins interview went wrong but still, I got a c... Read Full Review
