Finally we shifted to our permanent campus at Sohra. The previous temporary campus was also good but with limited facilities. I chose NIT Meghalaya because of very good environment. Upcoming students can directly join us at Sohra Campus. Seniors are very helpful and ragging is strictly prohibited in our campus. It is fully surrounded by nature and is very famous for tourism.

As I am enrolled in Computer Science and Engineering (4 Years) Bachelor of Technology through CSAB round 1 in 2024. Students must qualify JEE Mains exam with good rank according to their category cutoff in order to take admission in different branches. Every branch in this institute is given priority. All resources are available now in our new campus related to different branches. We have Mac systems for ECE students and different 3d printers are also available in the campus. Various other academic facilities are also present in the institute.

Every faculty in this institute is highly experienced and helpful for every child. They help to understand every topic from scratch to advanced level. There are many Ph.D professors passed out from IIT's and all the professors and HOD's of each subjects are very cool minded and help us at each step in our studies and extracurricular activities.

Yes we do have perfectly built hostels in our institute with proper mess. The quality of food provided in the hostel is not that good but not that bad.

Our institute has 4 academic blocks of 3 floors each, a big library building, a workshop building, Administrative block and many hostels for boys and girls for each course. Each academic block consists of big lecture halls and they are very nicely built like we see in IIT's. Every block contains different laboratories with equipment available for every practical thing to do.

Our institute has two mains fests in the year. One is Shishir (The Cultural fest) and other is Cognitia (The technical fest) in Shishir many famous personalities are called and different competitions are organised including dance, music, speech and all. It is celebrated every year which gives us full joy and happiness and every event of Shishir is memorable for us. Cognitia is our technical fest that is celebrated in the month of November where Drone racing competitions, Robo rumble, Robodictions, and many other technical competitions are held. Students are awarded on the basis of their performance in competitions. It is also very famous and is memorable for us.
