PTVA's Sathaye College: Rich Cultural Environment & Campus Life

Overall Rating
PTVA's Sathaye College is located in Vile Parle, Mumbai. The college is under the Parle Tilak Vidyalaya Association which is around 100 years old. It is a reputed educational institution in Maharashtra and it offers both Marathi and English schools. The faculty is excellent and supportive. Apart from good academic learning, the college also enabled my personality development.
 

Academics Rating
The college follows the NEP framework for 1st year and 2nd year of the Bachelor of Arts (B.A) program and will soon apply it for the 3rd year. The college also provides add-on courses apart from the core programs. This includes various language courses such as Portuguese, French, German, etc. Students can also pursue Diploma in Indian Archaeology, Modi Script, and many other subjects. Studying Marathi, Ancient Indian Culture, & Archaeology can provide students many opportunities in the field of theatre, research, tourism, archaeology, etc.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of the college are excellent and some of them have completed PG degree in their respective field. They are dedicated to build the future of the students. The teachers are full of motivation. Some of the teachers like Darpan Athavale and Dr Suraj Pandit are just awesome.

The college has 2 multi-storeyed buildings. One has 3 floors and the other one has 4 floors. It has around 420 rooms. There are 2 auditoriums in the college which are located on the 3rd floor and ground floor respectively. The college museum has various artefacts from Pre-History to Modern History. It also has well-equipped departmental laboratories. The sports turf at the college has various sports facilities.
 

Campus Rating
The campus of the college is huge. The college crowd is cultured and most of the students are from Maharashtra. In the month of December, several departments conduct fests in the college. 1 or 2 fests are also organised between June to December and an intra-college fest is conducted on 1st January. There is a Rotary and NSS club in the college which conducts various activities. The Marathi Vaghmay Mandal promotes Marathi culture at the college.

    My personal choice for this college was that it is situated in main vile parle and walking distance form station. College ambience is quite good and College also has football and basket ball turf. It has large opportunity except studies such as theatre, dance, singing, etc. are also available in the form of clubs.
