Sri Aurobindo College B.A Review By Faiza

My experience was good in this college. I chose this college because this college comes under Delhi University which comes under top universities. The faculty is good in this college. Professors teach well. Location is nice. It is in south delhi, malviya nagar. The infrastructure is average.

My course is B.A. program Economics + Political science. Economic is my major subject. To get admission in this college you have to give Entrance exam which is CUET (common university entrance test). It is conducted every year. I gave this exam in 2024, You need to score minimum of 600/800. This year cut off of this course and college is 660 for general. There are different cut offs for different category students. My CUET score was 402 out of 800 and I am an OBC student. To get admission in this college firstly you have to register for CUET exam. After results are out do another registration on CSAS portal phase 1 in which you have to fill your basic education details and after that you have to register on CSAS phase 2. Here you have to fill your course and college in which you want get admission. After your college allotment you have to pay your fees and secure your seat. For CUET registration and CSAS portal registration you have to pay fee according to your domain. For CSAS registration you have to pay according your reservation category. Eligibility for CUET exam is that you must have passed class 12th from a recognized board and score at least 50 percent. I chose this college because I know it is comes under Delhi University. So, I will get a degree from a recognised University.

Sri Aurobindo college faculty is the best part of the college. My course professors really teach well and they are not just good at teaching but they also talk to students about their problems. Our faculty is very nice to students. There are some professors who are average. 1%.baaki I can say that 90% of the faculty is really good. There are some professors who come from lower or middle class family. They tell us about their struggle and their efforts in getting a job. Our Economics teacher is really sweet. They say if you face any problems then can talk to me.

Yeah there is placement cell at our college but this is not really helpful for the students honestly. Our college doesn’t give any higher packages placement like other DU colleges. There are many companies who visit the campus for placement but yeah the opportunities in other colleges is slightly better.

No in this college there is no hostel facility. Students who come to Delhi from other states or country live in PG. There are so many PG’s near this college and also there are flats available in front of collage so students can live there too.

There is canteen in our college and 2 seminar rooms. There is only 1 ground which is really small and a medical room, psychology lab, zoology and all other science labs, etc. There is no AC in any classroom. The library for morning shift students is available. There is a study room in which we study and its good and spacious. There is computer room, staff room, Economic department, department specific rooms, etc. There is no cafeteria in our college. The college campus is compact. Overall in my opinion the infrastructure is good but it can be better.

Crowd is actually good in our college. My campus life is pretty good. One thing that the most are the fests. There are various fests that organized at DU but here only a few happen. But there is another fact too that is whenever a fest is organized we enjoy it the most. There are some fest like fresher party, Diwali mela and the one where our college invited singers. There are so many societies in this college like dance society, singing society, which is really famous at college and some social work societies. There is BA program society too. The ARTHONOMICS Economic society and Drama society, Fashion society and many more society are really good in this college. There are so many cafes and clubs where we hangout. There is COF’s cafe and many more. Our college participates in many things like painting, writing competition, etc.
