IITRAM: An Exceptional Overall Experience

It turned out to be a fabulous Institute much more than I expected for its academic excellence. At the time of selecting IITRAM (Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management), It was majorly due to its good reputation in the research market and also the remarkable faculty members who were very devoted to the task at hand. Sooner or later, the choice that I made was validated through all the experiences I have been through here. What makes IITRAM stand out as exceptional is the community feeling developed at the Institute. This includes the friendships and experiences gathered here which really made a lasting difference to my life. Not to forget, be it academics or personal growth moments, IITRAM is a journey that is electrifying and fulfilling in many ways. The Institute sets out a platform for all of its students to identify, build, and become excellent.

The academics at IITRAM are well-structured, diversified, and oriented towards satisfying the requirements of modern industry. Undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. study programs in major fields like civil engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, and computer engineering are offered by the Institute. Currently, I am studying B. Tech in computer engineering, and this stream holds an unlimited scope in this day-to-day technically advanced world. Admissions at IITRAM are highly competitive. A student has to clear the entrance exam to get admission through JEE Main and then through JOSAA and CSAB counseling. Rest it is open for all the Gujrati students under the entrance exams through GUJCET. In this manner, the admission process helps in getting only the best-talented students to IITRAM to create a stimulating academic atmosphere. The curriculum here is well-balanced between theoretical learning and its practical application. The projects, collaborations with industries, and research opportunities give students more freedom to explore and understand matters better. It always stresses the significance of core Knowledge and it still does not forget to emphasize on innovation and problem-solving abilities. The academic framework prepares students for the challenge both at higher study levels and in corporate environments.

No doubt the faculty of Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM) is one of the strongest pillars. Professors in the Institute are well qualified, and all of them are Ph.D holders from some of the most prestigious Institutions in India, namely IIT’s, and foreign Universities. This expertise in their areas of subjects and commitment towards teaching has made learning here exceptional. The most appreciable aspect of the faculty is that they are approachable. Professors always stand by to help out the students during their college hours, be it explaining some doubts, giving them ideas on the Kind of project they have taken up, or even serving out some time to suggest career development. Such mentorship and support from faculties help students build both academically as well as personally.

The placements at Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management are pretty impressive, which speaks about the kind of commitment the Institute has shown towards producing industry-ready students. The placement cell will always be on its toes to make sure that one gets the best possible result out of this. The hostel life at Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management (IITRAM) is comfortable and brotherly. Students live in 2BHK rooms shared by eight students. The arrangement might look a little weird to people, but it gives that belonging feeling and enables lifelong friendships between the students. The hostel facilities are well maintained and cater to the needs of the students. High-speed Wi-Fi ensures seamless connectivity and wholesome meals are provided in the mess four times a day. In addition, the campus facilitates indoor and outdoor sports that encourage the students to remain healthy and active.

Institute of Infrastructure Technology Research and Management has a state-of-the-art, well-planned campus, which aids in academic and extracurricular activities. The classrooms are air-conditioned, with smart boards for an active engaging experience in learning. Large classrooms allow effective learning, thus proper focus and attending classes actively. The campus also provides state-of-the-art laboratories, a well-stocked library, and recreational spaces. Every element of the infrastructure has been designed to enhance learning and experience for the students in general. It also has a Centre of Excellence that helps students to perform better in their respective fields of study.

The life at IITRAM is beyond academics. A lot of activities are happening around the campus given that so many clubs and committees exist based on various interests. The major clubs are TEKSTRA: A coding club that organizes hackathons, coding competitions, and workshops to improve an individual's technical skills. Career Development Cell (CDC): A student initiative working to guide peers on their respective career planning, internship plans, and placements. Student Activity Centre: The extracurricular hub for fostering creativity and talent. Dayatva: A Social Initiative club to work for the betterment of the society. Economics Club: It is a hub for discussing and carrying out economics-related events like MUN’s, Parliament Budget, etc. Drone Club: To innovate Aeiral robotics and drone technology. Thinkers Club: It is the hub for intellectual discussions and brainstorming. There clubs and committees ensure that students have many opportunities to explore their interests, develop new skills, and enjoy a vibrant campus life. Events, workshops, and cultural fests take place regularly within the campus, making life at IITRAM a live and enriching experience.
