My experience at B. N Bandodkar College of Science has been truly transformative. I graduated with a B.Sc Microbiology degree from B. N. Bandodkar College of Science. I am delighted to share my experience. I chose this course due to my fascination with microorganisms and their impact on human life. To be eligible, students must pass the Higher senior secondary examination with a minimum of 45% marks in the science stream. The admission process involves submitting an online application form, followed by verification of documents and payment of fees. The college follows a semester-based system, with two semesters per year, and frequent exams that help students stay focused throughout the educational journey. I found that the academics at B. N. Bandodkar College of Science prepared me exceptionally well for real-life challenges. The course curriculum provided a comprehensive understanding of microbiology, practical skills through laboratory experiments and exposure to industry experts. The faculty was experienced, supportive and guided me throughout my course, equipping me with the knowledge, skills and confidence to pursue a successful career in microbiology.

As a graduate of the B.Sc microbiology degree from B. N. Bandodkar College of Science, I paid a total fee of Rs. 34,000 for 1 year and 3 years it was around 1 lakh. The fee details include tuition fees, admission and registration fees and other charges applicable. I availed of special discount provided to SC/ST/SBC/OBC category students. This helped reduce my financial burden. Additionally, I was fortunate enough to receive the DBT scholarship, which provided me with financial aid to pursue my studies. I'm grateful to the college for offering these discounts and scholarships, which made my education more accessible and affordable. Overall, I'm satisfied with the fees structure and the financial assistance provided by the college. This enabled me to complete my degree without any financial constraints.

I had a great experience with the faculty members. They possess impressive academic backgrounds, with Ph.Ds from renowned institutions. Their teaching methods include PPT’s, group discussions, and hands-on lab experiments. The faculty is adapt at Problem-solving and clarifying doubts. The teacher-student ratio is optimal, allowing for personalized attention. I found the faculty to be approachable, supportive and encouraging, fostering a strong bond. They are always available to guide and motivate us, making my academic journey memorable.

B. N. Bandodkar College of Science has a dedicated placement cell that assists students in securing jobs in the Industry. The cell conducts placement-related activities, such as resume-building, workshops, mock interviews and industry interactions. Renowned companies like Biocon, Serum Institute and Syngene visit the college for recruitment. The average package offered is around Rs. 3.5 lakh per annum, with the highest package being Rs. 6 lakh per annum. I had a positive placement experience, securing a job in a reputable pharmaceutical company through campus recruitment. The placement cell's efforts and guidance were instrumental in helping me achieve this.

B. N Bandodkar College of Science offers residential facilities for the students. The college has separate hostels for boys and girls, with a total capacity of around 200 students. The hostels provides basic amenities like beds, tables, chairs and storage space. Recreational activities include indoor games, TV and reading rooms. The mess provides hygienic and nutritious food three times a day. Hostel fee is around Rs. 30,000 annually and Rs. 2,500 monthly. Hostel rules and timings are strict, with a curfew at 9 pm. During my time, I found the hostel facilities to be comfortable and convenient, with a supportive warden and staff. However, the food quality could be improved. Overall, my hostel experience was satisfactory.

B. N. Bandodkar College of Science has a spacious campus with well-structured academic blocks, laboratories and facilities. The campus is located in a prime area, easily accessible by public transport. Classrooms have a seating capacity of around 60 students, equipped with Audio visual aids like projectors and smart boards. The college boasts excellent academic facilities, including a well-stocked library, modern cabs, seminar halls, Auditorium and conference hall. Other amenities include a canteen, sports facilities, medical room, transport services and 24/7 security. My favorite place is the microbiology lab, which is well-equipped with modern equipment and instruments, providing hands-on experience. The lab facilities complemented my course and teaching enabling me to gain practical skills and knowledge in microbiology.

I had a fantastic campus life at B. N. Bandodkar College of Science. The college crowd is friendly, diverse and energetic. There are various clubs and cells, including NSS, NCC, DLLE and cultural committee. I was an active participant in the cultural events and Akanksha fest. The college’s annual fest, which showcases student talents in music, dance, drama and more. The college also organizes engaging activities like quizzes, seminars and workshop. My experience with campus life was amazing with a perfect blend of academics, extracurricular activities and socializing, making my time at the college was truly unforgettable.
