Inside SKBR College Hostel: Comfort, Convenience, and Care

The SKBR college is located in east Godavari district. The college is situated in the middle of farms and the atmosphere is very student friendly. The main factor why I have chosen this college is that the academic fees of the college are quite low and affordable when it is compared to the other colleges. The difference between other colleges and this college is that The SKBR college has NCC for the candidates interested in it. It also has a big library with a good collection of books which helps the students to go through their studies whenever it is needed. The labs for computer science and physics department were big & fully equipped with instruments, etc. The timings of college are also so convenient for the students who come from far places.

I have chosen Bachelor of science in computers. This course is good and this college contains plenty of faculty who are talented in teaching computer science. The computer lab is accessible to the students whenever it is needed and it has connection with Wi-Fi for using the online compilers for c, c++, and phython. The admission can be taken in online by using the college official website or else you can even consult the staff in offline the office timings are morning 10 to evening 5. The exams are conducted frequently to ensure the good academic result of students The exams for life skills are also conducted to teach the students about real life morals and values.

The academic fees charged for Bachelor of science is 28,000 per academic year. The semester examination fees are paid separately to the University. The SKBR college is affiliated with the AKNU rajamahendravarm. The examination fee per semester for science students are 1,205 approximately. There are no separate tuition fee for students. The students who belong to Reserved categories are eligible for scholarships and the scholarship amount is paid into student’s bank accounts annually.

The faculty of SKBR college is talented in teaching students and they do take care about each and every academic result and attendance. The background of faculty members is checked thoroughly before taking them in college. Every classroom in this college is equipped with a digital projector and the faculty teaches the students by presentation of materials on the screen. The student & faculty ratio is perfectly balanced. Every classroom has approximately 35 students which lets the teachers focus on each and every student. As per my personal experience the bonding between the faculty and the student is good and teachers are very responsible for the students.

To be honest the placements in the college is not up to the mark. The companies that take drive are demanding a lot of technical skill from the fresher’s. There is no cell present in this college. The most frequently arriving companies to the college are Microsoft & TCS. The highest package that was secured by a student in the third is 5 lakh per annum and he is quiet good in problem solving and technical skills. I am experienced well in my campus drive and the company is asking to have at least 85% and good communication skill in at least 3 languages.

Since I am a day scholar I do not have any experience in the hostel life but I have heard that the hostel is well managed by the staff and they do provide good sanitization and good quality food for the students. The hostel rooms are equipped with a fan and two lights and every room has own bathroom to use. The hostel timings are evening 7. After 7 there will be entrance into the hostel and late night hangouts are not allowed. The college provides separate hostel for girls and boys. I have heard that they provide special food on occasions.

The most appreciable factor about the college is the infrastructure. The SKBR is the only college that has wide rooms and a big play ground in the entire East Godavari. Each and every classroom is 25 feetx30feet in dimension. The classroom capacity is up to 60 members. The library is so big in collection and it was always available to the students. The computer lab is good and the labs for physics and chemistry students are good. The prices in the canteen are student friendly and we do have gym facility for both boys and girls. My favorite place in the whole college is the old botany lab where we can witness a lot of creatures stored in the bottles.

The life in the campus is so pleasant and it is refreshing for the students. It is so hassle free to roam in the campus or ground in the evenings. There are no unofficial clubs in the college. The students are not allowed to form any kind of clubs in the college. The extracurricular events in the college are good and conducted in every special day. The NCC department is also so active in conducting the extracurricular activities for the wellness of the students. The tests are conducted for every festival in the college. The staff and the college faculty are very supportive to the students are conducting the events.
