‘Aarambh’ and ‘AdVITya' are Annual Fests of VIT Bhopal

The overall experience in this University is good when you analyse everything. The academics and the faculty are good which provide good knowledge to the students. As much as I know the research is good in this University and it is also a good place to grow or build a startup. There are some faculties who continuously help students to work on startup and grow with it. The placement is also good and offered good packages to the students.

The course I chose here is B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering with specialisation in Artificial intelligence & Machine Learning. The motive behind the same is to become a Data Scientist because I like to play with the data. The things which are provided by the University during the course are great like the FFCS course structure. The basic requirement to join this course is to be good in Math subject. The admission for the course is through the VITEEE and no lateral entry is there for the same. There are three type of semester in University which includes summer, mid, and winter semester. For admission, in this University, the students have to score above 60% in their 10+2. The academics of this University are good.

The fee of my course in VIT Bhopal is Rs. 1,98,000/- for the 1st category. There is no discount of financial aid provided by the University. It also provides scholarship to the students.

The faculty members of this University have done their Ph.D while some are still pursuing it. The faculty has good knowledge. The teaching methods depend on the subject they teach. The methods include PPTs, whiteboard, group discussion, quizzes, etc. The problem solving ability of the faculty members are very good. The faculty is easily approachable whenever required for any discussion or doubt. They are very supportive and take care of all the things which are good for the students. The faculty also helps the students in other things as well.

Yes, the University has placement cell. The cell provides right direction to the students with proper training and regular mock interviews. The placements are organised well with the academics and other things. The placements totally depend on your skill set.

The VIT Bhopal provides hostel facilities to both male and female students. There are 6 storey in the girls’ hostel and 8 storey in the boys’ hostel. The hostels are divided into multiple categories such as premium and normal. The rules of the hostel are strict and the food is average. Overall, my experience in the hostel is good.

The University consists of 2 large academic blocks with 1 architecture block. The campus has various labs dedicated to different departments and is equipped with high end system. The campus also has 2 libraries which have a large collection of books and digital library is also available. The campus also has cafe, gym, and other shops. The bank and post office branch is situated in the campus. There are several facilities provided by the University and it is increasing day by day.

The overall campus experience till now is great as I have spent more than 3 years in campus and I have experienced almost everything. The crowd is getting higher with new batches as 2025 intake is around 5000 in my course only. There are several clubs which conducts events on regular basis. The University conduct annual fests named ‘Aarambh’ and ‘AdVITya’. It also conducts various festivals such as Ganpati pooja, Garba Night, etc. The NSS unit which is a greatest team led by Dr Vinod Bhatt and Dev Brat Gupta, It is something which you have never experienced in your life. Volunteering in NSS will make you a young professional with some great experiences which helps you succeed in your life. The campus life is getting better day by day.
