Pursuing MCA at MMMUT Gorakhpur

Overall Rating
Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology is well known university established in 1962 and become university in 2013 with NIRF ranking 96. The placement is satisfactory if you have skill. You can also crack off campus offers. So many students get job offers in campus placement. The alumni network is very strong. Hence, we can find Malaviyan in almost every MNC and they are helpful. We are allowed to sit in campus placement from third semester onwards. To be honest, one of the reasons to choose this university was because it is located at very short distance from my house.
 

Academics Rating
I chose MCA program. For admission, you have to score well in CUET PG exam and you must have Mathematics in either 12 standard or in Graduation. Semester exams are very easy to pass. One can get 8 CGPA easily if they will study few days before exam and have knowledge about programming subjects. The course curriculum is designed such a way that it can help in understanding CS fundamentals and helpful in jobs and interviews.
The yearly fee will be including Tuition, Hostel, and Mess charges, which is Rs.1,80,000. The UP scholarship is available for students with family income less than 2 LPA (for UP residents only).
 

Faculty Rating
The permanent faculties are experienced and are from IITs and other reputed university. The faculty use blackboard and PPTS in the class for teaching. They also take random test sometimes. Some of the faculty is helpful and support to the students in project and other work. The bonding with the faculty can be very helpful. Some are very good and supportive in every aspects.
 

Placement Rating
The T & P is cell for placement related activities in MMMUT Gorakhpur. It is very active and tries to bring as many company as possible. This year for MCA, IBM, Accenture, QSS, JTG, To the New, Malinda, 75Way, programmers.io, etc. visited the university and if you are good, you can be placed.
 

Hostel Rating
Three of the seven are boy’s hostels and rest of them are girl’s hostel. The girl’s hostels are good but the boy’s hotels lack proper maintenance. The annual fee for hostel is Rs. 24,300 in which Rs. 5,000 is caution money. The mess fee for one semester is Rs. 18,000. Boy’s hostels are open 24/7.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has 357 acres of land with lots of greenery and fresh air. The class buildings are good and each of them is well equipped. The sport complex has all the indoor and outdoor games available like cricket, football, volleyball, and Badminton. GYM facility is also available in the morning & evening and has all the necessary & modern equipment. The central library is open from 9 AM to 8 PM, excluding Sundays and holidays and has AC reading rooms.
 

Campus Rating
There are so many events happening all the time, organized by 10 + societies. The annual fest of is ‘Abhudaya’ that happens in the month of February to March. The society for MCA is Computer society of Software Engineers, which conducts event for MCA department. The biggest event of CSSE is Technokratos, which is going to happen in January.

    MMMUT Gorakhpur is better in many aspects. But some things need to be modified and updated. It provides good opportunities to every students. The first advantage, which I preferred when I was choosing the university, was that it is a government institution and provides good return of investment.     I could not perform so well in JEE. Though, I had decent rank so I got admission in MMMUT. As my father is a civil engineer so I chose same to pursue. I was obviously disappointed with my JEE performance but I was surprised with the teachings of professional there. Though in first year, most of the teachers are guest faculty but from second year, you will be only taught by professors and I guarantee you they are best.     Facilities and infrastructure are good at Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled, and the seminar rooms of our department are also in pretty good condition.   • Getting into CSE at MMMUT Gorakhpur Through JEE Main

    It is a state government Technical University that comes under UP govt. It is off course a wonderful college which has NIRF ranking of 84 in engineering category. My overall experience is good. I chose this college because of its placement. In the previous year one of my senior got placed in Google for 52 LPA. Average package of this University is 6.5 LPA and median package of CSE is almost 11.2 LPA. All the professors are very helpful. Everything in the campus goes on with the academic calendar...
