Choose Seshadripuram Law College for Your BA LLB

Seshadripuram Law College is situated in the heart of the city. Public transport accessibility is very good. The best part about the college is its timings which starts at 7:30 AM and the college gets over by 1 maximum 1:30 PM in the afternoon which gives ample of time for internships and studying. The college is surrounded by many law firms and is near to courts as well which makes it easy for students doing internships. The college has experienced faculty who are very helpful and insightful. The teaching is good and the faculties are really friendly. Many guest lectures are conducted enhancing the knowledge of students and opening them upto new avenues of the profession. Placements are not that great but the overall experience in the college was good.

I studied Science in PUC and then decided to pursue Law. I chose BA LLB that is an integrated course and the duration of the course is 5 years long. The course has BA subjects, which comprises of Political Science, Sociology and Economics to give an insight into the basics of societal set up which helps, understand law better. First four semesters are combination of BA subjects and one Law subject every semester. First semester has a Legal Research subject, which is very helpful in understanding law, and also helps further for research during moot court competitions and clinical course subjects also know as practical subjects in the last 4 semesters. The eligibility to join this course after having decent percentage in PUC is to give CLAT or any other entrance exam. Semester exams are conducted in every six months and students are required to do internship at the end of every semester for at least a month. In case of a backlog, paper can be cleared in next 6 months. Every student is required to pass at least 4 subjects to be eligible to take admission to next year.

The fee structure is really affordable compared to other law colleges. I paid Rs. 50, 000 every year for 5 years integrated course. The exam fee is Rs. 1,400 plus other charges for marks cards. In case of re-evaluation and backlogs, students are required to pay extra according to the university guidelines.

The faculty is highly experienced and very insightful. Many lectures are doctorate holders and have vast experience. The teaching is excellent. Sometimes group discussions are also encouraged for better understanding of case laws.

There is a placement cell. The cell bought several internship opportunities to students from various companies and advocates. However, the opportunities were not that great and were limited. The placement committee can be more approachable.

There is no hostel but there are many PGs around the campus. They are really affordable.

The campus of Seshadripuram Law College is small and is located in a crowded area. The classrooms are big and spacious. There is a very good library with a very friendly librarian. Seminar hall is a little small but the moot court hall is really good. The campus is maintained well and is hygienic. There is parking space and good encouragement is given to sports.

Campus life was good. The college is moderately crowded. There are so many clubs and many activities are conducted for the members of the clubs. Students are encouraged to be volunteers teaching us good leadership skills. Students are encouraged to participate in fests conducted in other colleges. Fests in the college are not conducted. Festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi are celebrated though. Ethic day is also another event that is conducted every year. Annual day and sports day is also conducted.
