Fee Structure and Scholarships at NBNSSOE Ambegaon

Even though it is a only my 2nd year at NBNSSOE Ambegaon, my overall experience has been quite good. This institute is already a well-known and well-reputed institution in Pune. The academics, campus or social life, and opportunities for exposure are very good over here. The events and fests that take place here are one of the best the whole Pune and they really make your college life worth it. The college itself is good I would say it is Decent in every aspect overall. There are a few minor setback but they really depend upon your priorities. Placements are decent. The faculty at least for my department i.e. Computer Engineering is good as they are supportive. The administration is also not bad itself. There are events, fests, seminars time to time so the college life does not feel imbalanced and boring.

I got admission in this college through MHTCET & CAP round counseling. You will have to attempt the MHTCET exam and get a good score preferably over 90 percentile to get a good branch or your preferred branch in this college. There is also All India seats allotted through JEE score.

The fees structure is somewhat like this. It is about 1.10 LPA for general category student who do not have any scholarships or financial aid. There are Maha DBT scholarships available for OBC, SC, ST and EWS sections. This college fee is all inclusive of the development and lab fee. Yet we have to pay the exam form fee separately each semester. Some of my batch mates have applied for the scholarship and they have been given the concession in amount of fee. Like the OBC, category student only has to pay around Rs. 65,000 per year, while a SC or ST students have to pay around Rs. 8,000 to 10,000.

The faculty of my department is supportive. They are always ready to be of help to the students in any aspect. All the faculty members belong from well-educated background with most of them having a Master’s or PhD in their respective fields. The teaching method is 2 ways, first the traditional blackboard and then use of projectors and PPTs is also done. The teacher to student ratio is also very accurately proportioned. For example, there is a class of 75 students so for every 15 to 20 students. A teacher guardian attends and keeps a check on student’s academic and personal aspects. The teachers are very approachable and very sincere when it comes to attending to students problem be it technical, academic related or sometimes even personal problems

The placement and internships over here are again decent as well. A placement cell helps you in these matters. Highest packages offered was around 45 LPA and average packages go around 8-9 LPA over here with minimum being 2-3 LPA. The companies that visit us for placements are TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, PTC, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Microsoft, Nvidia, and many bigger tech companies. Currently the percent of students being placed is 86%. The college also helps you if you want to study further and pursue Master’s or MBA from here or abroad. I myself am planning to go abroad for further studies.

I have lived in the college hostel for a year and it is decent as per hostels go. You have to opt for hostel separately. Then you are allotted with a hostel and a mess after all the payment and formalities are done. Hostel and mess fees I paid was Rs. 72,000 and without mess option is available that goes for Rs. 56,000. You are allotted a hostel according to your year of study and college so you are not separated from your batch mates. The mess food is also not bad and you can opt to change the mess if you have an issue with it. Besides college hostel, there are many options. There are private hostels, PGs, and flats on rent are available. The rent and deposits for these facilities depend upon the location and amenities provided.

NBNSSOE Ambegaon is a well spread over around 150 acres with multiples colleges, school and hostel facilities. Campus also has a library where thousands of books are available for every course. Library is 24/7 open for students and can occupy well over 1500 to 2000 students at a time. The campus also consists of sports complex and turns and ground for the sports event that are conducted throughout the year. There are numerous clubs, social, cultural, sports, or technical related that student could join for their extracurricular activities. The classroom have large seating capacity wart to the strength of the class. College consists of multiple seminar and conference hall, laboratories and auditoriums, which are frequently used for ongoing events and activities.

This institute is very well known for their Events and Fest. We have a ‘Sinhgad Carnival’ in the month of October usually and the biggest fest ‘Sinhgad Karandak’ or ‘Sinhgad Spring Fest’ or the ‘Techtronic’ usually in February and March.
