BIT Durg Fee Structure and Scholarships

Bhilai Institute of technology is one of the old and renowned Institutes of the state. BIT Durg is a private Institute. It is affiliated by Chhattisgarh Swani Vivekanand Technical University (CSVTU). The courses offered in BIT are B.Tech, M.Tech, BCA and MCA. The mode of admission is through JEE Main and CG PET. Even this Institute is approved by AICTE. The faculty members are very much supportive. I chose this Institute as it was the best institute of Chhattisgarh on state level. The alumni network of BIT is very strong. The curriculum offered here is also very nice. Our college has advance hardware labs. We have modern equipment too.

I had chosen a newly introduced branch that is Electronics and Computer science. As this branch is one of the most new and demanding branch. If a student wants to enroll in this branch than he/she can get admission through CG PET or JEE MAIN. Admission process is very simple, the student has to score good marks in above exams then he/she can apply through CGDTE. Foe every semester BIT conducts three exams, two class test and 1 end sem. Class test are of 40 and 60 marks whereas End semester are of 100 marks. Apart from that teacher’s assessments are also added in the result.

The fee of B.Tech is around Rs. 40,000 for each semester. The fee for hostel and mess is also Rs. 40,000 per semester. Relaxation is provided for students who belong to ST and SC community. Even the students who belong from OBC also get relaxation if there family income is below a certain level. The students who score well in CGPET get scholarship.

The faculty members of this Institute are also very trained. Some new faculty member lack on experience but majority of the faculty members are well experienced. The faculty members are very supportive and they are ready to help the students in every situation. The teacher-student ratio in the college is also very good. Around 20 students per teacher. After 1st year the students are provided with their mentor for the entire college life. They can convey their issues to them. Most of the teachers use PPT and digital board for teaching.

The placement of this college is not so good. But from past years it is increasing.

The hostel of BIT Durg is decent enough. BIT Offers different hostels for girls and boys. For each year different hostel is given. 24 hours Wi-Fi facility is also provided.

The campus size of BIT Durg is decent enough. BIT has different blocks for different branches. The classroom capacity is of 70 students. On each floor we have seminar halls. BIT provides multiple facilities like open and close auditorium, a well furnished Library, etc. We have three canteens inside the campus. The library of BIT Durg is very good as it has almost every book for the student. The BIT’s also provide student store for the basic needs of the students. The classes of BIT Durg are very big and lighting is also very good. My favorite place in college is open auditorium and canteen.

Overall campus life is very good. Apart from academics BIT offers student to be a part of multiple clubs. We have Astro club for space exploration, we have Public speaking club, Alankar for songs and music, Laasya for dance, Public activity club, Hult prize, and the e-cell. bit is the most new club. There are lots of events organized by the college. The BIT Durg was the host of SIH-Hardware edition for the three consecutive years. We have our annual fest OJAS which is organized every year. Apart from that AAYAM is also organized every year.
