CNMC Kolkata Fees and Application Process

Overall, CNMC Kolkata is very good in terms of academic and social life. The infrastructure and the modern facilities are major drawback of this institute. I got into the college, as it was best suited as per my all India rank in NEET exam and as per the distance from my house. This is located in megacity Kolkata that gives advantage in terms of transportation. Being a tertiary care hospital, it gives enough opportunity to a Undergraduate medical student to learn the subject. The senior junior bond that is very crucial to survive in medical college to learn medicine is best here that you will never find in any other college.

I chose MBBS, as it is one of the most fascinating job a human can imagine to be effective in society in terms of relieving human sufferings and give the most beautiful way to be respectful in a society. To be in the college, you need to be in top 16000 (air) aspirants who are appearing in NEET UG examination. Admission process is very straightforward. After achieving the needed rank, it takes only 1 day to complete the whole process in the same college. Semester examinations are taken 6 monthly but that is not the determinant of your academic performance. For your academic performance, there is one final examination every year, total 4 exams in 4.5 years. You need to secure 50% marks in every individual subject to pass the subject. This is a professional course so this gives us the overall knowledge to approach any case after the completion of the degree. The guidelines from the National Medical Council are followed all over the India as a curriculum of MBBS students. The examination occurs yearly according to the NMC guideline and conducted by the West Bengal health University.

The monthly fee of CNMC Kolkata is Rs. 750. There a total 9 semesters, the admission fee for the course is around Rs. 5,000. You have to pay Rs. 1,000 in your first year extra to avail the logbook. You can have scholarship up to 1 lakh if you are a West Bengal student.

There are the best doctors of West Bengal or other part of India to teach us about various subjects of MBBS. The teachers are prominent doctors and Master in their field to teach us the subject and to handle patients in real life.

After the completion of MBBS, there is no placement but if you manage to be in the top 100 of your batch, you can get a job as an house staff shop for 1 year with a salary of Rs. 50,000 per month with very less time of duty. If you do not manage to be in top 100, you can join any private nursing home at a salary of about Rs. 60,000 to 80,000 per month as per location of the nursing home and the duration of your duty.

The quality and quantity of girl's hostel is quite good but in case of boys, there is less number of accommodations. Boy’s hostels need some renovation. However, the cost of accommodation in hostel is only Rs. 12 per month including electricity and water charge. If you do not get a hostel, you have to rely on paying guest or personal flats outside the campus that will cost you around Rs. 5,000 to Rs. 10,000 for accommodation per month and food is based on your expense.

The campus in this college is charming and colorful. The infrastructure of the college is old fashioned and overall area of the college is little small. The library is functional from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM. reading room is fully furnished and air-conditioned and the common room is well decorated & air-conditioned. You can have avail book or journal during the college time from library. Sports facilities are also available here.

The college is always crowded with lots of students and patients every day. Except some modern facilities, the college is very much welcoming to a undergraduate students. There are separate clubs for dance, debate, quiz, drama, fashion, and many more. You can flourish your extracurricular activities and hobbies with the hectic life of MBBS. College authority is also supportive for these kind of activities. This college organizes best medical fest called ‘Agon’ in Eastern India. There are also lots of events every 2 to 3 months such as freshers and reunions that keep the students stress free. The campus is very much lively with its charm but you cannot feel it until you are not able to indulge yourself into the campus. If you are too sigh or introvert or you love to be alone all the time then this is not for you but if you like a prominent social life this is the college you are looking for. Placement of this college is very good being a prominent medical College of West Bengal.
