My College Life at DCET Hyderabad: Academics. Placements, & Infrastructure

Overall Rating
My overall experience at Deccan College of Engineering and Technology was very good. I chose this college because of my entrance exam and many of my friends had also taken admission here. In addition to this, the college has good faculty and good culture. This college has state-of-the-art infrastructure.
 

Academics Rating
I studied Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) with specialization in Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning because there are lots of opportunities in this field in future. Students have to qualify the EAMCET exam with a minimum 50000 rank to get admission in this college. If you are not able to pass the entrance exam, don't worry you can also get admission through the management quota.
I paid about Rs. 75,000 per semester for my course. The college does not have any admission and registration fees. Scholarships or discounts in fees are not provided by the college. However, students can apply for State or Central scholarship schemes.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties have brilliant teaching skills and they are friendly in nature. Most of the teachers have graduated from reputed institutions and they have lot of knowledge about their field. They use blackboards and PPTs as their mode of teaching. Their problem solving abilities are remarkable and students can easily reach them if they have any doubt. The teacher student ratio is 5:9.
 

Placement Rating
The college has a placement cell which helps students to get their dream job. It gives placement training to all students. Leading firms such as tech Mahindra and Wipro visits the placement drives conducted at the college. The average package is around Rs. 3,00,000 to Rs. 5,00,000. Overall, the placement experience is very good.
 

Hostel Rating
Deccan College of Engineering and Technology doesn't provide any hostel or residential facility. However, there are many affordable private hostels located nearby the campus where students just have to pay Rs, 5,000 to Rs. 6,000. My personal experience at the hostel was very good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of the college is very big and beautiful. It is spread around 3 to 4 acres of land. The classrooms are very spacious with all the required facilities such as projectors, air conditioners, and digital black boards. The college has big library which has a large number of books. The well-equipped labs with excellent computer systems provide practical learning experience to the students. It also has a seminar hall where professional and cultural events are conducted. The college canteen serves good quality food to the students.
 

Campus Rating
My overall campus life was excellent. I enjoyed interacting with students from different branches. Yes, the college has many clubs which like Google developer club and sports club. I was the member of the Google club where I learned many skills. The college conducts various fests and events such as Food Fest, Teacher’s Day, Sports Day, Annual Day, etc. My college life was excellent and memorable.
