Sibsagar University: A Premiere University

Overall Rating
Sibsagar University is autonomous as well as better than other universities. The education system is good than other universities. My brother has also studied from here. He also said that this university is perfect for higher education. Therefore, I choose this one for pursuing my graduation.
 

Academics Rating
The academics are very good. I chose Physics department. To study here, you need to have higher percentage in HSC. During my time, the addmission process was offline. 1st, you need to fill the online form and then contact to university officials.
The fee for BPL students is nil. Other students can get scholarship based on their and percentage and CGPA.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members of Sibsagar University are good. About the faculty member of my department, they are good as well as very friendly. Their teaching methods are also good. They use PPT to teach us. Sometimes they also organize seminars to improve our knowledge. In our batch, there are 26 students and 8 teachers. The bonding between my teachers and me is very strong and good.
 

Placement Rating
I didn’t get placement from my university yet.
 

Hostel Rating
The university offers residential facilities. Boy’s and girl’s hostels are separate. In girl’s hostel, there are about 35 rooms available. Currently, 130 girls are living in the hostel. Scholarship is available for girls. The quality of mess food is very hygienic. It provides 3 meals a day. Hostel fee is Rs. 1,600 for regular students but if you are a member of union of hostel, then it is less than Rs. 200.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus of Sibsagar University is very large. The classrooms are very good with sufficient seating capacity. The library is also huge and has many books to study. Labs have sufficient equipment and tools. Again the auditorium is very large and conference hall. In the canteen, it provides healthy food and price of the food is very less. The sports section is also active in the university.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus life is good. The crowd is not up to the mark. There is no ragging in the campus. There are many clubs. But I am not part in any of these clubs. The authorities organize many engagement activities for students. It also celebrates many festivals like Saraswati Puja and some important days like establishment day, independence day, republic day, etc. Academic events Science exhibition also excite students. It has been very good experience of campus life until now.

    Sibsagar University is an University situated in the outskirt of historical Sivasagar town, i.e. in the historical Joysagar area. This University is situated on the bank of the Joysagar Tank which is the factor for pleasant environment and noise free surrounding. The teaching and non teaching staff is helpful and so it becomes fruitful for students in education. It consists of about 17 departments with Quality staff members.
