Guntur Medical College Prepares Future Physicians Beyond Theoretical Knowledge

Guntur Medical College being associated with government general hospital which is one of the largest hospitals in the state provides wide range of clinical exposure and interaction with patients. Practical labs and museums help students to correlate theory with practical knowledge. The college is good and well ranked college. We can learn many things in real life which helps in your future practices. You will gain experience not only theoretical knowledge. This college differs from other private colleges regarding clinical exposure. You may not find much extracurricular activities here.

I have chosen the course, bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery at Guntur Medical College. It is a Five and half year course. The curriculum is aligned with NMC guidelines. To get admission in this course one should get eligible cut-off marks according to their category in NEET UG. The admission process begins from downloading of allotment order online to medical checkup and document verification in the college. We should submit allotment order along with required documents in the college with in allotted dates. 2 internal examination with a internal of 3months, 1 pre-final and lastly finals conducted by the college.

Amount of my course is around Rs. 15,000 that is to be paid for tuition fee every year. Allotment order 10,600 and Examination fee is Rs. 600/subject.

Faculty members at Guntur Medical College are well educated and well experienced and approachable. Teaching faculty consists of PGs, SRs, assistant professor, associate professor and HOD. For every subject we will have at least 10 faculty members or more. Every 15 students are provided with a mentor through the course. We can approach them if you face any problem throughout the course. They will help us, motivate and clear doubts. Teaching mainly includes PPTs and small group discussion.

Guntur Medical College has total 4 blocks. No. of beds varies from 5 to 2 according to year of study. 1st year fee is around Rs. 30,000 and later on Rs. 20,000. Mess offer meals 3 times a day and a meal costs 130.

Guntur Medical College consist of 3 blocks. A library, an auditorium and canteen. Wide range of snack items is not available in canteen. Classrooms are well ventilated, lighting. Classrooms are provided with digital board, projector, microphone, air conditioning, proper lighting, etc. They will get overcrowded in times. Sports competitions are held between colleges but sports in college are absolutely absent. There are not many clubs run by students. You should have your own transport option as college won't provide any bus facility except for 1st year hostlers.

My overall college experience is very nice for me. My class consists 250 members and the overall college consists around 1,500 members. We don't have any clubs in our campus. The events that are held in my college are fresher’s party, fest, college day, Christmas and new year party. In all these events and fests I mostly like college day event in this event. I and my friends rocked together in it. Students participate in many competitions and many performances like singing, dancing, etc. At end of the event guests distribute prizes to the winners. Overall I enjoyed this event along with my friends happily.
