Fee Structure and Admission Criteria at UCEK Kariavattom

University College of Engineering Kariavattom Thiruvananthapuram is one of the best colleges in Trivandrum. Our college is situated inside the Kerala University campus. All the facilities are available inside the campus. It is the only engineering that is affiliated to Kerala University. Our college has a very good atmosphere with friendly and helpful faculties. NRI seats are also available in the college.

Our college offers three branches in B.Tech that are CS, IT and EC. I am student of CS department. The admission to this college is based on the KEAM entrance exam conducted by Kerala Government. Based on academic structure, the exams are semester based. These exams are conducted by Kerala University. Our current syllabus is an updated one with topics, which are very much relevant for the current job requirements.

There are three types of seats, the fee structures are as follows: for students who have taken admission based on merit, the fee is around Rs. 36,750 per year, fee for management quota students is Rs. 68,250 per year, and NRI students have to pay around Rs. 1,05,000 per year.

The faculty members are very much obliging and supportive. Most of them are highly qualified and teach very well. Their method of teaching is mostly using blackboard and PPTs. The faculty in CS department is very much experienced and good at teaching. They are approachable at any time. They are ready to support us for activities other than academics as well.

As mentioned above, University College of Engineering Kariavattom Thiruvananthapuram is inside the premises of Kerala University’s campus. All the facilities are available inside the campus like Library, Gym, medical center, ground, canteen, cafeteria, ATM, campus Wi-Fi, bank, post office, etc. and are accessible to the students of our college as well. Our college has an auditorium, an AC convention hall, 2 to 3 lecture halls etc. The classrooms can accommodate about 60 to 70 students. Transportation facilities are also available for the students.

The campus life is wonderful. There are many clubs and communities in our college that conduct very useful events, webinars, and sessions. There are many extracurricular activities organized in our college. Every year, a Techno-Cultural fest is organized in our college at a very large scale. Mostly all the festivals like Onam, Christmas, Holi, etc. are celebrated grandly in our college. All the events, and fests being conducted in the university campus are accessible to students of University College of Engineering Kariavattom Thiruvananthapuram as well.
