SSC Ernakulam: Fees, Scholarships, and Academic Excellence

The college is quite good one. It is a nature friendly college. The teachers are very friendly and we can have casual talks with them, as we are free to talk with them whenever we want. The laboratory facilities are very good. They provide a very good hand on experience on our subjects. Almost all the necessary topics are covered. Sree Sankara College kalady provides very good exposure to students. The college has a beautiful atmosphere and we do not even feel that we are in Ernakulam. The temperature is very moderate. There is no dress code or much of strict rules. Hence, we are free to pursue additional activities as per our interest. There will be elections and ruling side is in charge of conducting wide variety of programs.

As Biotechnology is an emerging field, I found it to be better option for my future. I like to invest in research, which was also one of the reasons to choose Biotechnology as an option to give wings to my dreams. The admission process will do by allotment process as the college is affiliated by Mahatma Gandhi University Kottayam. The university will provide information if the admission started. All the stuff and exams are controlled by the university. There are university representatives who will guide us through the course of our journey.

For each semester, we need to pay a total of Rs. 20,000 making it Rs. 40,000 for a year. Apart than that, exam fee will be Rs. 300 to 500, depending upon the semester. In the final semester, we need to pay for the certificate too. Scholarship to minority will also be provided by government.

The faculties are friendly. Their teaching styles are also very good. They will provide good exposure and knowledge about everything. The method of teaching is using PPTs and blackboard. They will give us assignments, projects and other work to make us more aware about the subjects. They will provide a clear view about the subject. The teachers have 5 to 6 years of experience. Each of them has good knowledge of his/her subject. They provide a friendly atmosphere so that students can approach them without any hesitation.

The placements are not that relevant yet. Some courses do get opportunities though.

The hostel only provides accommodation to 30 students. Other students have to rely on PGs near by the colleges. These PGs are affordable but the food quality can be issue.

Sree Sankara College kalady has a very good infrastructure. There is a well-developed library with wide range of books. Academic blocks have well developed classrooms with projector. The canteen is not up to the mark though. An auditorium, seminar hall, and conference hall are also available which can accommodate approximately 100 to 500 people at a time. The campus has a beautiful view with wide variety of trees and herbs.

The campus life is very good. There are good clubs, which will give students multiple opportunities to pursue their passion as well. There is a variety of fests and programs like Holi celebration, Onam celebration, Christmas celebration, ethic day, etc. Ruling side tries to provide students with best campus life by organizing as much as events possible. A good portion for students chooses this college for best vibe.
