GIST Nellore has Huge Campus

Overall Rating
The overall experience of GIST Nellore is good. It provides a good environment for students. The teachers give their best to teach us. The campus is huge compared to other institutes. In this institute, it try to give us the best to develop our skills and to learn new skills. It provides skill development training from second semester itself.
 

Academics Rating
I am Computer Science student. I have chosen this institute is because of faculty of Computer Science. You can join through EAMCET or through management quota as well. You will allotted this institute based on your EAMCET rank. The exams are conducted in semester format. There will be semester exams after every 4 to 5 months. In between the semester, there will be 2 mid semester exams and assignment exams.
The scholarship will also be provided based on EAMCET. You have to pay about Rs. 45,000 to Rs. 50,000 a year.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty is good and well experienced. They always try to give their best to teach us. The teachers use different teaching methods like chalk & board or PPT presentations. They are friendly with students and make them comfortable to speak freely & clear doubts. The teacher to student ratio is like, there will be a teacher assigned for every 30 students. In this institute, a teacher will be mentoring 15 members. He will be mentoring them for 4 years.
 

Placement Rating
The institute gives its best to train us for placements. It collaborates with companies to make us learn new skills. It also helps us to develop skills by conducting special classes from 2nd semester itself.
 

Hostel Rating
As I am a day’s scholar student, I am not much aware of the hostel. As far as I know. There are two separate hostels for boys and girls inside the campus. These hostels are good enough to stay.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Area wise, GIST Nellore is huge. There will be 70 students in every class. There will be a projector in every class. There is library equipped with many books, which you can use to take books. There is seminar hall to conduct seminars, sports club, and a single canteen.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is good. The crowd is moderate as of now. There many clubs like GDG club, sports club, etc. It conducts an annual day. The technical fest will be once or twice in a year. Apart from these fests, GIST Nellore also conducts cultural activities for festivals like Sankranti and Dussehra.
