My Campus Diaries at SJU Bangalore

Overall Rating
St. Joseph’s University is one of the reputed colleges in Bengaluru, which has linguistic people and amazing environment of students. There is a faculty, that providing you good education. I specifically chose this college because of the brand name that Joseph’s has, and I would suggest others to choose this college for affordable fee and a vibrant environment where students from many states come all along together under a single roof, sharing diverse culture and finding lots of people with similar interests.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen BA Journalism, International Relations, Peace, and Conflict Studies (triple majors). I chose this course to enter myself in UPSC and other government exams. The eligibility criterion at SJU includes giving entrance exams for majority of the courses, which is provided the college. You will also have one on one interview also to be selected at Joseph’s. There are only two exams in an entire semester, mid sem exams that is internals and the end semester exam examination.
The fee structure for the course I have chosen is Rs. 74,000 per year. They can be two installments to pay the yearly fee. There are no any extra examinations fee, which are taken from the college scholarship from the college and many government scholarships, can be obtained while you’re studying here. Students can avail management scholarships where they can get up to Rs. 20,000 per semester.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties provide you a diverse level of knowledge. They stay as your friends and guide you for your betterment, not just academics, but they help in also to prepare yourself for many other things happening in college, motivating you to attend, seminars and help research papers or abstract. They also give letter of recommendation to the students who would wish to pursue the Master’s in abroad. The faculty members are really good as they help you out throughout your journey at the college.
 

Placement Rating
As I am still in second year, I am not sure about the placements. But as I’ve heard from other people, SJU has good placements where students are placed for decent annual salary package and there is also a placement cell in our college for any queries. Companies like Wipro, Accenture, Axis bank, and EY are the top reputed companies, which come to our college for placements.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college building is pretty much bigger. Campus contains more than 10,000 students. There are three different academic blocks where there is CC camera surveillance, Wi-Fi, digital library, computer labs, and also medical facilities. The college also contains seminar halls, main auditorium, and playground also. The college has total of six gates where each gate contains minimum of two security guards. My favorite thing, which is part of the college, is the bleachers where we can sit peacefully under the trees, and we can just spend our time around.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life at St. Joseph University is excellent. There are more than 62 associations in college and students of different department coming up together for their respective associations. There are also many cultural activities in which are inter-school and inter-collegiate. My campus life is going on pretty well as I have expected. It’s a good college, which I suggest to people who wish to join Joseph’s.
