BSSITM Lucknow: Fee Structure and Scholarships

I am a 2nd year student of Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management and have a very good experience of my institute. I chose it because of three reasons. My first reason is that it is near from my home as it is about 1.5 KM away from my institute. The second reason is fee. The fee of this institute is too low, according to course and facilities. The third reason is I have some connections from seniors and they already told me about its faculties and facilities. The different thing about this institute is its technical events. Its approach and appreciation for participation in government programs like SIH and Zonal level events, etc. also attracted me.

I have chosen Bachelor’s of Engineering in Information and Technologies because of demand of market as well as future scope of this sector. There is no specific eligibility criterion to take admission in this institute. It just conducts a simple test before taking your admission to analyze what is your current knowledge level. You can take direct admission as well as you can go through JEE and CUET, from which your seat and scholarship will be confirm. It conducts sessional exams of 1 of 20 marks after completion of 40% syllabus, then sessional 2 of 20 marks after completion of 80% syllabus, then a mock test of 70 marks from 100% course. In the end, there is a PUT which is Pre University Test. this exam is conducted like real university exam with proper format timing, etc.

The fee of every students is different it is between Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 60,000 according to course and conation. My yearly fee is Rs. 35,000. I have to pay 60%+ fee in first semester then rest fee will be paid in other semester. This fee includes my tuition fee, lab fee, and exam fee. There are some other fee I have to pay like uniform fees Rs. 5,000 once in 4 year, book fee Rs. 2,000 once in 4 year and Rs. 1,000 registration fees in every semester. There is a government scholarship is available for OBC category students as well as who have given JEE and CUET examination for admission in this institute. Scholarship covers your 90% fee.

Every faculty has a different and interesting nature. all the teachers are very serious about student’s results as well as their performance in class. All faculty member have done their Masters, some of them are PhD holder, and some have experience of more than 10 years of teaching. Every teacher has total 8 to 10 lectures in a week, according to their subject. They teach in class as well as take lectures and class in labs and workshop for practical. They conduct departmental activities in which debate, poster presentation, PPT presentation, etc.

The placement cell needs to be improved. So students do not find the services up to the mark. The highest package is 14 LPA and the average package is 3 LPA.

I am not a hosteler but still I have some information of hostel. The girl’s hostels infrastructure is good compare to boy’s hostel. Food in the mess needs to be improved.

My campus is compact. However, it is good enough in this type of fee. There in more than 100 classrooms and every class is big and have more than enough seats to sit. There is a canteen, which has every kind of fast food even you can book canteen for parties.

My overall campus life is good as well as interesting. There are more than 2000 students in whole institute. Yes, there are so many clubs and societies. I am organizer of my institute’s technical society named ‘Innovista’. The technical society of our institute organizes and annual event called Yantrotsav that is a part of ‘Shrijan’. There are many more departmental events, which allow you to enhance your practical knowledge.
