BSSITM Lucknow's Hostels and Infrastructure

Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management is at good location near the Raibareli road. The students who belong to poor family they can take admission in this Institute. It offers quality education in fewer amounts of fees. My over all experience here some is good and some isn’t. The good things are that there are lots of sports activities happening in our Institute campus and many students gather and play cricket, volleyball, football, etc. There is no compulsory attendance and dress code. There is not any strict action taken on the same.

I am pursuing B.Tech from Information technology from 2023 in Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management because it is the field which has enhanced my knowledge in modern world. To take admission you must have completed your 12th Exams with passing marks in their respective boards and give the JEE CUP exams in both B.Tech and diploma streams. You have to make the call to admission cell office and talk about fees and other things which you want or explore in this Institute. There are 5 exams that are taken in the first semester. There are 4 internal exams which included 2 sessional exams, 1 mock test, 1 PUT exams which is done before the external exams which is conducted in other Institutes. There are some practical works happening every day in the week. In last two periods practical work is conducted for about 1:30 hour. It is enough for work in the Industries.

The total fees in Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management is Rs. 55,000 which includes the: Tuition fee Rs. 45,000, AKTU Examination form fee for both semester Rs. 7,500 and Book bank fee for all semester Rs. 2,000. Registration fee in every semester is Rs. 1,000. If you opt for hostel their fee is Rs. 50,000 fees for 1 year in the hostel.

There are 22 teachers present in our course at Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management from which 7 teachers are in 2nd year, 8 teachers in 3rd year and 7 teachers are in 4th year. Some teachers are in the both the years like 3rd year and 4th year of our core subjects. They hold Master degree in B.Tech and Ph.D in their respective subjects and their teaching experience is about more than 7 years in their subject. They teach us on the white board with erasable marker. In the laboratory they teach us via group discussion. They are well capable to give the answer of tough problems when asked in their respective subjects. The teacher to student ratio is 7:60 in 1 year of our branch information technology. The teachers are very helpful to the students. They solve all the problems and provide solution to all the questions asked by the students.

There has been placement of about 5 to 10 % of students in the job fare organized. Faculties at Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management give the greed to the students of 100 % placements but it is not completely true. There is a placement cell where companies come after the 4th year. The students are placed in the job fare in this program. They have a Internship program happening between the semester which is organized by the Institute. The companies like soft-pro tech pro come to teach us, take the extra fees for teaching on their respective subjects. The highest package of our Institute is Rs. 1,40,000/annum and the average package is Rs. 30,000/annum. Our seniors tell about that. There are very less companies that visit the campus for recruitment.

Yes, Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management has a hostel with both boys and girls present in our campus. There are about 80 rooms present in the boys hostel and 60 rooms present in girls hostel. There are 135 boys present in boy’s hostel and 80 girls present in girl’s hostel. There are separate warden present in both the hostels and some teachers live in hostels. The mess food is not good I suggest you would not choose hostel for study in this Institute. The hostel fee is Rs. 50,000/year. The hostel timing is 5 am to 10 pm in the night. My experience is not good in hostel because the food is mediocre.

There are two blocks present in Babu Sunder Singh Institute of Technology and Management. The first is BSSITM block and other one is BSSCOP block. Our campus cover 600m square area in both the blocks. There are 122 classrooms present in BSSITM block and 90 classrooms in BSSCOP. There is 1 library present in this Institute and all subjects laboratory. 1 seminar hall which we call as Kalam hall. There is 1 small canteen present in this Institute on the main gate of the Institute and there are two cricket and football grounds present in our campus. There are three buses present in this Institute which pick the outer students of Raibareli and Lucknow. There are two gates present where 2 Guards are present in both the gates 24×7. There is football ground and the students can sit and walk. There is an open gym present in front of the hostel campus where students sit and talk to their friends. The best thing is that there is a big cricket ground present in it where we play cricket and football.

My overall experience is average. There are about 600 students present in all the years. There is not any club present in our Institute. There are many events organized by our Institute like Garba party in October and Fresher party in December. There is a cultural and sports event organized in April. My overall experience is both, good and bad. I have made really amazing memories with friends and batch mates.
