Student’s Experiences at Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran

Overall Rating
Overall my experience was fine at Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran. I made my decision to come here based on the recommendation that I got from my seniors and my parents knew some faculty members. The most significant difference of this college from other colleges is the return on investment i.e. the placements according to the fees they are charging. The college is fine and it is considered by the students more than other colleges.
 

Academics Rating
I chose B.Tech CSE in AI/ ML. Entry requirements may vary but those at my time were 70 % marks in class 12th. Admission process of Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran is first come first serve basis. There are 2 mid semester exams in each semester and 1 final end semester exam. Academics give an overall overview of the course. Although the academic curriculum is way outdated but it somehow teaches the most valuable values to us.
A semester wise fee is Rs. 65,500 and a registration fee is Rs. 1,000. Special discounts may vary like Punjab domicile students get discount similarly you can check for other at the college counter.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty at Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran is nice and approachable. Background of faculty members includes B.Tech M.Tech and Ph.D. They teach on whiteboards and smart labs. Problem solving capacities of faculty is average. You can visit the faculty members for getting your doubts resolved. One class has approximately 65 students. Generally the fresher faculty is provided to the fresher students and more experienced faculties are provided to the senior semester students. They overall help in uplifting of the student.
 

Placement Rating
The placement of Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran is in collaboration with Chandigarh University. This means that the placement season is hard and competitive. For placement the college has TPP classes from the 3rd semester. Packages offered are from 4 LPA to around 35 LPA. But now the average package has increased to 5 LPA. Favorite thing is that the fees that we pay give us a good type of placements.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The infrastructure of Chandigarh Group of Colleges Landran is fine. The building is old and ventilated. There are a total of 11 academic blocks. Campus size is average and locality is a bit disconnected from the main city. Classroom is lengthy and able to accommodate 70 students. Classes have projectors also available. Canteen sports and medical facilities are average and able to cater the student’s requirements if necessary. Library and labs are too good with experienced faculty.
 

Campus Rating
Overall the campus life is average. There are not many restrictions. Yes, the college is very crowded. There are a lot of clubs in the college like Tech Amigos Club and Eco Minions Clubs, etc. Engagement activities include the Parivartan annual sports meet and other events to showcase your talent and skills. My experience is average, not much vibrant as the crowd here is not so good. They are basically not adjusted to the ongoing conditions.

    Chandigarh group of colleges is way better in studies then other colleges. Teachers here are strict as well as kind. The Infrastructure is impressive and quality education is provided in the college. I don't think other colleges really focus on studies. As long as studies are considered they focus on student’s personal growth by participating in events and always motivating them whenever there is a need.     For the students who are looking for private colleges, CGC Landran is a decent choice for B.Tech and other courses like BCA, MBA, Hotel Management, etc. When I took admission in this college, I came to know that it is situated in a developed city. There is a connection between the alumni and MNCs. It is situated it in Chandigarh, where it is easy to travel to other good colleges to attend seminars.     CGC is the college with vast variety and opportunities for the future. The training and education here is amazing. The teachers are very supportive. Many events are held here on a big level. The fee structure of this college is approximately 1 lakh with no extra fee for curriculum activities.
