Galgotias University BBA Review By Abhay Gujjar

I wish I could have taken some learning from my previous college because never settle for below par things is what we were taught. Still, I came to a below par institute which was certainly one of the worst decisions that I took. There are so many colleges that were waiting in the wings because I could have taken at least a shade better college than this but the Galgotias University was so attractive that I couldn’t see anything beyond the beauty of it and got trapped. The ingredients required in filling out an MBA program were missing from Galgaotias book and this is where I feel the university needs to re-think because I am sure no one can ever praise Galgotias. Just to put things into perspective, Galgotias University fees is one of the highest among B-Schools, the academics is not in order, the faculties were average, the placements were poor but the hostel, infrastructure, and campus life was amazing. So, it’s up to individuals in which all things do they see the beauty. As I see it in college’s academics and placements while some see it in great campus life.

Academics here had some serious back spasms because they introduced a course which will take ages to complete and yet the faculties went so slowly that they will take the same class for a same topic twice or thrice. It was so easy for someone to skip the class on one day and back the other day because chances were that the same class was being repeated. If academics are about producing a spell that people like Novak Djokovic or the Tiger Woods have in their game, then Galgotias spell was lesser than the players who play qualifier events.

Faculties were playing the role of management’s puppet and I think they did it magnificently. There are a lot of names which I wish I could take but never mind as a couple of them were great too as things looked different from their perspective. I wish we had many more of such professors then at least the college would have got their academics right. So, when I remembering about the faculty’s team my hearth have filled with sorrow, the cold wind has suddenly start blowing around me because I can’t find a single positive or the contribution that they have made into our lives.

I was dying to answer this and for this I first checked the website as it says 100% placements and have mentioned 40-50 prestigious names that came for Galgotias University placements or are the regular recruiters. If lies were forever, then Galgotia’s have mastered this forever because I can’t even remember 10 names and don’t what have changed in five years that the college has grown 5x. From 10 to 50 companies, from 20% placements to 100% placements. If it has become possible or if they aren’t lies, one can ignore my review but trust me 5 years back from today, the college was in dire condition at least in placements.

The nine-floor exotic tower which was student’s hostel was amazing. I love the world luxurious because I thought the college will make us addict with such luxury and then provide us jobs that will help us get our money right. Eventually, we will see all the finer things that include luxury but the college did make us addicted to luxury even if couldn’t get us get our money thing right by providing us jobs. Galgotias University hostel rooms had ACs, geezers, cupboards, tables, and foam beds so that students can have the tightest of sleeps. So, the hostel part was one thing which needs no further changes.

The area of Galgotias University campus was spread in over 50 acres and it had 10 other colleges of the university in the same campus. Every department had their buildings and there was a common lecture hall building as some life lessons and pep talk sessions were held there. The guests were invited at the auditorium and it was fantastic too. The money ball has been used well by the university as one thing which is unquestionable about the university is its infrastructure part. Well, for food lovers there was a food court but only students of Delhi could afford such food because I was used to having canteen food at max 100 bucks and here cold coffee costed 150 bucks. So, one has to have deep pockets not just to study but to survive at the campus as everything was just so expensive here.

The money ball was used so wisely by the university as we had celebrity guests at the campus at least twice or thrice in a year. One such event was the annual fest GALGOTIAS Unifest where many prominent singers were invited and they performed for us. So, campus life of Galgotia was best to take selfie’s and keep them for life because there were no other good memories that one can take back from here.
