MGIMS Wardha: A Way to Become Good Doctor

Overall Rating
My experience in this institute is quite as learning is interesting. Main factors, which made me down for choosing this institute are infrastructure, good faculties, its associated hospitals, and patient load. The academic facility is of high quality with good team of professors. Social Service Camps in certain villages help us developing empathy towards socio-economically weak families, which is really required to be a good doctor.
 

Academics Rating
The course I chose here is Bachelor of Medicine & Bachelor of Surgery. This course serves humanity, which I liked most about it. An eligibility criterion for this course is to have certain required all India rank in NEET exam (around 21000 for general category). Admission in this institute is through counseling procedure. In a course, you have to pass 4 terms in each term of 1 year. There are two internal exams, one pre university, and one university exam. Academics include postings in different department wards, which prepare us for real life challenges through practical case study during these postings.
Total fee for each term is Rs. 2,49,600 including tuition fee, hostel fee, mess charges, library charges, and hotspot charges. In 1st term, you have to pay 1.65 Lakh as a security deposit. This security deposit is less for SC, ST, and disabled category. For rest of the categories, fee structure is similar. No scholarship or financial aid is available for students here.
 

Faculty Rating
All the faculty members teaching here have completed their Postgraduate in their assigned subjects and have completed at least of 10 years of senior residency from an authorized government institutes. All the problems of the students are cleared by the faculty at the time of class. If anything else is left, then faculties are easily approachable in their cabinet. There are total of 6 to 7 faculty in each subject for 100 students, who teaches together in small group discussions and 1 teacher per 100 students in theory lectures. I am satisfied enough with the behavior and teaching of each faculty here.
 

Placement Rating
In our institute, 1 year of internship is mandatory for all the 100 students where they get Rs. 18,000 to Rs. 20,000 monthly stipend.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, our institute provides hostel facilities, as there is mandatory hostel staying rule to every student. Each student here gets a single room with mess facilities within hostel along with GYM and badminton court. Yes, boy’s and girl’s hostels are separate. Mess provides good quality of food with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Annually, students have to pay Rs. 60,000 for hostel and Rs. 18,600 for mess. Hostel in timings for girls are 10 PM. My experience in this hostel is good.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Campus 's academic blocks are spread in around 463 acres with separate block for different departments like Medicine, Anatomy, etc. Each classroom has a seating capacity of 200 students with projector for classes. In our institute library, practicals lab, Canteen, badminton court, seminar hall, and auditorium is present. For security purposes guard and CCTV cameras are present. Library is the most favorite place of most of students here. Different departmental practicals lab has posters on walls that compliment the teaching. There are projectors in lecture hall for teaching.
 

Campus Rating
There are best days of my life. As a student, I am learning about the course of my choice. Crowd is huge as in every year’s counseling, all the 100 seats are filled. There is no club as of my knowledge. Our institute organizes sports tournament, Ganesh festival, and annual fest also. The campus life here provides you an overall best exposure of different patients with different diseases and provides you a good knowledge.

    It was my luck to get admission in this institute. This institute has based on Mahatma Gandhi’s thoughts and principles. For example, students have to follow the rule of wearing khadi cloths as a dress code. This institute’s hostel infrastructure is awesome, as it provides separate rooms for every student.
