GCET Greater Noida's Campus Worth It

The college is Well Developed and has proper infrastructure. The Professors are well educated and are supportive. The college has a big library and has many opportunities for all the students like students can participate in clubs and events and into extra curriculum activities like sports and singing and dancing and hackathons and many more. I have taken admission into this college as most of the colleges in Greater Noida such as GL Bajaj and NIET and many more does not have seat in core branches and specialization courses so I had to take admission into ECE ACT branch as I had no option. The college has only 5 classes in a week and sometimes we can miss the classes too.

I have chosen Electronics and Communication Engineering (Advance Communication Technology) as I thought there is scope of this branch in future as there are more jobs for this branch. The minimum eligibility criteria are 75% percentage in 12th Boards and in PCM subject, there should be more than 70-80% marks for ECE ACT branch. We can take admission in GCET college by AKTU counseling and direct/management quota. The Exams in this college are conducted quite often as we have to give nearly 1 exam in every month like PUT and CAE exams. The academics do not prepare us for real life challenges but let us develop patience and stress management and time management.

The yearly fees of GCET Noida is roughly Rs. 1,15,603 For First year. It includes Tuition Fee Rs. 1,09,603 Per Year, Application Fee Rs. 1,000, Security Deposit Rs. 5,000 (Refundable) and An additional Fee Rs. 7,500 that is charged by AKTU for conducting Exams Per year. Yes, there are Fee waiver seats for AKTU counseling students with good percentile in JEE Main. Yes, there are scholarships for students under state government scholarship and central government scholarship scheme.

The faculty is good and well educated and has proper knowledge about the subjects. They teach good enough so that students can perform well in exams The method used by professors is good as they use ppt and presentations and many more ways such as they show us machines and labs and let us handle the machines. We do many experiments in electronics and chemistry lab and in physics and electrical and mechanical labs as well. The teachers use different methods to elaborate the concept for better understanding. The teacher student ratio is good. For every batch there are 8 teachers assigned. 1 teacher doesn’t teach more than 2 batches. There is a good bond between the students and the teacher as they sometime teach us life lessons and much educational knowledge.

The Placement at our college is not up to the mark but more than 50% students are placed in the college and there are many opportunities for students in research and internship. There is a separate Placement Cell in the college which focuses on the best placements. The highest package was 39 LPA by Autodesk. The lowest package was 3-4 LPA by TCS. The average package was 4 LPA too. More than 150+ companies offer more than 750+ jobs. The top recruiting companies are TCS, Infosys, Autodesk, City Union Bank, Airtel, GENX Consultancy Services, Emerson, Of Business and many more.

Yes, the college offers Hostel and Mess facilities in the campus itself. The hostel and mess fee are quite high with AC and Non AC rooms ranging from Rs. 1,20,000 - 1,55,000 per year. There are on an average 6-7 floored building in the hostel with more than 70 to 80 rooms and Gym and play area and park and many more. Yes, Girls and Boys hostel are separate and have not much distance as they are in campus. The food of the mess is not up to the mark. The mess has variety of food but the taste is not as better but can be eatable. The timings are strictly followed as gate is closed nearly 10 pm and opens at 6 AM in the morning. In my opinion for fresher’s hostel is a good option as they have to cope up with the college and hectic schedule. They need to develop social and economical balance.

The Infrastructure is big enough for all the students as there are different buildings for different departments like CS, Electronics, and IT branch and Admin building and ERP office and A big Library. Campus is situated near Knowledge Park 2 near metro station and EXPO. The library is quite big and has so many books to rent on and there are computers free to use with high speed internet to search for data online too. There are big and spacious labs for chemistry, electronics, electrical, physics and English language lab too. We have a big auditorium and conference room for events and discussions. We have a canteen where we can have tasty snacks and tea and lunch and has a cool vibe. The Equipment is used by us to understand better learning and help in better understanding.

I would say overall experience is good as in my early days, the campus is big and has 2000+ fresher’s and it regularly has events and club events are organized so there are people who are interested in taking part into these events. The college has a good crowd and good fresher’s party that is organized in the month of December. This is quite good. There are also movie promotions in which Disha Patani, Bobby Deol and many film stars come here. There are so many clubs such as coding, dancing, singing, management, gaming, poetry, stage management, NGO club, music band and many more. My experience was average as it is fun to study and roam with friends and hangout and prepare for exams as well. In my opinion it is a place full of hostel and college so students are seen everywhere in cafes, restaurants, etc.
