BBA and Beyond at T John College

I’m a student at T John College Bangalore and currently my final year is ongoing. Now talking about the college campus and campus life, it is pretty exciting experience there. The campus is huge enough for one to get lost in its surroundings. Covered with trees each course having its own building, we also have parking spaces for teachers and students pay that charges around Rs. 900 per year. There is also football court and it’s comfortable to play there and spend time. It’s nearby to my house so I joined there and my sisters have also studied there. This institution is comparatively quiet good and not tough. Overall, I had a roller coaster experience there not a bad one but an amazing one.

I have enrolled for BBA general. It also has BBA Aviation and International. There are many other courses like BHM, MBA, B.Com, BCA, Nursing, Pharmacy, and so on. I specifically joined the college through scholarship program. Entry requirements are simple, you go enter your name address number and talk to administrators and your marks are required you should have passed your 12th exams and if you have above 60%, you will be provided scholarship accordingly. We have internal exams and semester exams also teachers conduct surprise test class test and online quiz. Staff over here not only teach us by book but also share their knowledge and experiences so that we are ready to face the workload and workplace challenges.

For BBA General, semester fee of Rs. 45,000 is to be paid. I scored 81% in 12th standard, so I got scholarship of Rs. 20,000. Hence, I pay Rs. 25,000 per semester. Scholarship are given on basis of your 12th marks scored. You can get a wide range of details on the college website itself.

The faculty for my course until date have been good to me and friendly, though there were few disagreements between us but they were solved easily. The faculty understand the students perspective too specially our HOD. The HOD is kind person towards us hearing our request providing us opportunities like industrial visits trips inter college competition. It’s not only about the head of the department (HOD) but our other entire faculty members are also the same less or more. All of them have PhD degrees and are qualified teachers with experience. They conduct group discussions, presentations, assignments are given, group projects and industrial visits. Theory and practical are both thought through blackboard and smart TV. They understand us and solve the problems without making a big fuss. They are quite approachable may not seem like that in the beginning but later you will understand that they are the teachers we need as university students.

We have a different cell for placement at T John College. The teacher handling the placement cell informs the HOD and class coordinator if any internship opportunities arise and let us know through WhatsApp group. I recently applied for an internship through our placement cell and it was a good offer. The starting pack is Rs. 10,000 for us BBA students but as you know it’s depends on the companies. BHM have a really good scope in these matters at our institution.

I stay with my parents so I don’t know much but I have classmates and friends that stay at hostel. According to my information boys hostel is in the college and girls outside the college campus. They have a card for meals and snacks. No one is allowed to go outside after 8 PM.

The campus is located in Bangalore and runs autonomous. The campus is spread across 20 acres. All the courses have different building and its own stationary shop library and sports room. We have a football and volleyball ground. There is veg and non-veg canteen also two bakeries and one Maggie point. We have seminar hall at all combined auditorium and conference rooms for each department. I like the library and Maggie point. And most importantly, we have transportation facilities.

I had an amazing experience accessing my campus life. I made good friends that match my vibe. ‘Tarang’ and Turbo 2k24, and so on are the events conducted here. The crowd is huge enough the whole campus is crowded in fest and function. We have programs held to help NGOs and recently had a trip to a government school. Our juniors conducted a Christmas giveaway and donation event. We organized a trip to goad and back. The package was 6700. All over, i must say I have had blast in my campus life. Inter college football cricket and volleyball competitions are held there.
