Bennett University's Strong Industry Connections and Innovative Curriculum

I am a fresher at Bennett University, Times Group, Greater Noida. My experience so far in these 6 months is average. The factors that made me choice this college are its modern culture and give the sense of freedom. It even has student friendly curriculum. Its modern infrastructure, strong industry connections, and focus on innovation. All these things make it stand out from other colleges present.

I am a CSE 2nd year student. This course is currently in demand in the market. There are no any specific eligibility criteria for the admission in the college. However, there are scholarships provided to students. Scholarships are provided based on the student’s merits in JEE Main or their respective 12th board exams. Further admission process is pretty smooth and clear. Personally, when I was applying I was assigned a particular person who knew my regional language too to coordinate with my parents and me. The examinations are only twice a semester, one is mid sem and the other is end sem.

The fee structure is not appreciable for an average middle class family. Fee structure for CSE in the first year is approximately 6.5 Lakh, in which 4 Lakh cover tuition fee. Rs. 1,60,000 are for triple sharing hostel room and Rs. 1,80,000 for double sharing hostel room. Students have to pay around Rs. 12,000 examination fee and Rs. 30,000 to Rs. 45,000 as security deposit. As I had excellent grades in my 12th boards, I have 50% scholarship, which makes my tuition fee 2 Lakh I have come to know that single girl child is given 5% scholarship. Scholarship is continued to next year if your CGPA is above 8.

Faculty members are very easy going and responsive. Some of them are PhD students, which gives us advantage to take knowledge from young brains. There are experienced teacher who have studied and taught in IITs or NITs. The teacher student ratio is not that bad. Every 30 students are given a mentor who is available.

Average salary offered during campus drive for an engineering student is 5 to 12 LPA.

Yes, BU provides residential facilities both on and off campus. There are triple sharing rooms with a common washroom. There are 5 blocks for girls where as 12 for boys. The total number of rooms varies from each block. In my block, each floor has 30 rooms with 7 floors. The mess food is not that great. The breakfast is fine. There is a great sense of freedom in terms of timings of hostel. My personal experience is above average.

As I already mentioned Bennett University, Greater Noida has a great infrastructure with A/C classrooms with digital screens and white boards. The classes vary according to their capacity to accommodate students. The infrastructure is modern with different type of classrooms according to the number of students. There are four academic blocks. The campus is small in comparison with students. It has an above average library. They have a specific block of 2 floors called Learning resource Centre (LRC) where most of the students spend their day. The canteen is nice. There are almost 5 to 6 outlets and a tuck shop with all necessities. My favorite palace in the campus is sitting area near Kathi outlet.

Overall campus life is good. 20 clubs are managed by easygoing seniors. They help us with our studies too and guide us. Working in these clubs gives a sense of confidence. Through them, we make strong connections. The club events are more frequent. The college events are less. Like once a month or on special occasions like Diwali, Holi, Ganesh Chaturthi, etc. There is one annually fest called Uphoria which is 3 days long. In addition, a tech fest called Zenevia, which is two days long.
