Bennett University's Modern Infrastructure and Facilities

Bennett University is located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh. It is a university with the brand name of Times Group of India. It has a great campus and mess facilities. It has many global connections and some nice recruiters. Even the faculties are PhD and IIT level. They are very cooperative. I chose this university particularly because of its brand name and its overall performance. In addition, it has been accredited by NAAC with A+ in the first cycle of Delhi NCR.

I am currently enrolled in B.Tech CSE is most in demand course at present and in future too. There are no particular eligibility criteria for admission but you get scholarship if you have good marks in your board exam or JEE. The university releases online forms during admission time and you have to fill it. Exams happen twice a year: mid sem and end sem. We have some extra subjects too with our academic subjects, which help us prepare for real life challenges such as life skills, subject, entrepreneurship, and environmental studies.

The fee of my chosen course is approximately 4 Lakh per year, which would be up to 16 to 18 Lakh for the whole 4-year course. This is only the tuition fee. In hostel, we have triple sharing rooms, which are around Rs. 1,80,000 per year. This include mess fee also. There are some extra fee such as registration fee, sports fee, examination fee, and alumni fee. Scholarships are provided to students who have good marks in boards or JEE, class they have additional discount for defense wards, single child, and wards of employees of Times group.

The faculties that are currently teaching us in my chosen course experts in their field. They are passing out of IIT, NIT, or PhD holders. Some of them teach with the help of Ppts. some of them teach with the help of boards and some with the help of digital writing pad. For problem solving, we have additional tutorial sheets and classes for it. They know their subject very well and their problem solving ability is good. The teachers are very welcoming and helpful whenever you need any help. The teacher’s student ratio is such that for small classes one teacher for 30 students and for lectures, there one teacher per 120 students.

We have a very good placement cell at our institute, which works hard to get companies in our university. The cell helps students to prepare the resume and the problem solving ability and the communication skills and conducts classes and courses to prepare for interviews. It also helps in internship purpose. Renowned companies like Google, Goldman Sacs, Microsoft, Adobe, Meta, etc. visit our university for recruitment. The average package for B.Tech CSE is 8 to 10 Lakh in our university with the highest being 1.2 CPA. Currently I am in first year and I have not been placed but the placement rate is good.

University provides two types of residential facilities: one is on-campus and other is off- campus, which is almost 10 minutes away from our university. The on campus hostel contains triple sharing rooms while the off campus hostels contains double sharing room. Girls and boys hostels are separate and there is badminton courts basketball court beneath our hostels. In addition, there is common room filled with sofas, TT Table, pool table, carom and fuss ball. The mess food is okayish and I would rate it 7/10. You get four times hygienic meal. Mess fees are included in hostel fee, which is of around Rs. 1,80,000 per year and Rs. 13,000 to Rs. 14,000 per month. There is no restriction on timing for hostel for both boys and girls. There are strict rules such as you cannot keep any electronic items except for charger and lamps.

The campus has global level infrastructure. The campus is of around 68 acres and some buildings are yet to be built. Today we have four academic blocks mainly, well equip with centralized AC, computer labs, lecture halls, and tutorial rooms. The lecture halls are big which around 250 students capacity and the others is small having 32 to 40--student capacity. Campus also has learning resource centre for self-study and library with good collection of books. Campus also contain different canteen such as Snap Eats, Southern Stories, Hotspot, Quench, Kathi, Chai Ok please, House of Chow, etc. and one big general store. My favorite things of the university infrastructure are rangeland (a common lounge for boys and girls). The whole campus is under CCTV surveillance and CPS security guard are present everywhere. Campus also has a wellness centre and Pharmacy with ambulance facility. The campus is well equipped with sports facilities such as cricket, football, basketball, badminton, swimming, pickle ball, tennis, etc.

I have experience a very good campus life. The university is overcrowded as it is small yet the events are very good and successful. There are various clubs in my university and clubs are of two type cultural clubs and tech clubs I am part of one of the tech club (CSI: Computer Society of India). Extracurricular or engagement activities keep on happening everyday in our university. We also have movie night once or twice a month, treasure hunts, hackathons etc. The university conducts its cultural annual fest, which is Euphoria, and the sports festival that is Sportikon. The university also celebrates festivals like Maha Shivratri, Navratri, Guru Nanak Jayanti, Eid, etc. The overall experience of my campus life is great.
