Glimpse of Infrastructure & Facilities at SVNIT Surat

Overall Rating
The environment inside the SVNIT Surat is good. There are many trees in the campus and this creates a healthy environment inside the institute. The factors made me to choose this institute was that it is an old institute, good faculty members, and the placement report. 2nd factor was the institute campus area. The environment will not be available at any institute.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Electronic & Communication course. General category students need to rank around19000 or around 98.8 percentile in order to get this branch and institute. You can get admission through JoSAA counseling after giving EE. In one semester, 3 exam are taken, in which one is class test 2nd is mid sem exam and 3rd is end sem exam.
Fee for 1st year students is Rs. 99,000 for 1st semester and Rs. 70,000 for rest of the semesters. The tuition fee was Rs. 62,500 and the rest of the fee includes exam fee, library, institute development fee (applicable only for 1st sem), etc. students can get 2/3 fee remission for having family income less than 5 LPA and full remission for having family income less than 1 LPA. For ST/SC category, the overall institute fee is zero.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members were very well experienced of around 20 years. Most of teachers teaching in ECE branch were having an experience of around 10 to 20 years. The nature of some teachers was strict and some had light nature. Teachers teaching in ECE branch taught using digital screen. Their problem solving ability was also excellent.
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, hostel facilities are available in the campus premises of SVNIT Surat. The 1st year student and Master's boy’s hostels are named as ‘Gajjar Bhavan’ that is straight from gate 2 and girls hostel is near to 1st gate.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus has two main gates. After 500 meters from the gates, academic blocks were built. The campus size is around 268 acres. The ground of the institute is so big. There is volleyball, basketball ground, as well as cricket ground in the campus. The library is a 3-floored building that has every book of every branch.
 

Campus Rating
The campus life is enjoyable. There are many clubs of every field. Students can enroll in the club as per their interest. The students have a good opportunity in every sport. They get opportunity to play at national level inter NIT competition if they are selected by the institute. Many fest/events are organized. for example, Thanganath (Garba), Ganpati Agman/Visarjan, Kashish fresher’s event, etc.

    SVNIT is part of one of the top institutes of India. It provides students all the required facilities and encourages them to develop and learn skills on their own. There is nothing missing in the campus life at SVNIT. The academic facilities are top class. It would be difficult to find other institutes with similar facilities.
