Tezpur University is a good for B.Tech. This university is very good for Computer Science department, one of the best universities in the Northeast region in India because of the placements and the Faculty. overall environment and surroundings is beautiful. You can get admission in this college through JEE Main exam. It is a good college, with average placement of 4-5 LPA. Faculty of the college is very friendly and understanding at times. They will be very helpful whenever you will need them. Hostels are also there in the university itself. Fee is very affordable for both hostel and academics, so it is very suitable for many B.Tech students.

I am doing B.Tech in Computer Science department. To get admission you can get through JoSAA counseling after giving JEE Main exam. Cut off for CSE is around 93 percentile and can be more in the later rounds. Everything can be done online, so it is a very easy process to get admission. In every semester, 4 exams are taken: 2 sessional, a midterm, and end term exam, which makes the 150 marks. Overall academics in B.Tech would definitely prepare you for real life challenges, because there are many assignments and projects given to students, which make it very interesting and better for students in their real life.

For B.Tech, fee for every semester is around Rs. 27,000. In first semester, you have to pay Rs. 35,000. After that in every semester fee is only Rs. 27,000, which includes hostel fee. For SC, ST, and OBC category, the hostel fee is lesser. It is very affordable. Mess fee in every hostel is around Rs. 2,500 per month, so it is very affordable for a middle class family.

The faculty members of the college are very good, very friendly, and helpful, whenever you will go for any help to them. they are very qualified teachers. some of the teachers have studied from IIT and many different great colleges and university of India, so their knowledge is very good. every faculty member is very intelligent.

As stated earlier, average CTC for CSE department in B.Tech is around 4 to 5 LPA. Around 60% of students are placed every year through on campus placements. Therefore, placements are average.

Yes, there are hostels in the university. There are 7 boy’s hostels and 7 girl’s hostels. Staying in hostel is very wholesome as you create so many memories with your friends. The seniors are also very friendly. Hostel’s mess food quality is good. 9:30 PM is in time in the hostel for the students. You can go to library after taking permission after that. My overall experience in hostel is great. You must stay in hostel only even if you are from Tezpur only.

The infrastructure of the university is very beautiful and surrounding. It is full of trees, which is very soothing. The classrooms in the college are well built and very good. There are labs with capacity of around 80 students at a time, and are well built. AV aids are also available. Yes, there is canteen in every department. There is also a student activity centre, where all the sporting activities are done. There is also a badminton court, basketball court, a huge ground for cricket and football, volleyball court, and facilities for other sports. So the infrastructure of the college is very good definitely no doubt about it.

Overall, campus life is beautiful as the campus is very big and very beautiful. The environment is very good and air is very pure. There are many different clubs and you can choose them according to your interest whatever you like. Yes, there are extracurricular activities like sports every sport you will find here, and also dance & music events, and many events like that. Yes, every year fest is organized and many celebrities also come every year as guests. Therefore, my experience in the campus has been very good.
