Rajkiya Engineering College, relatively a very new college established in 2015. I was bit dicey before admissions in this college but took the risk and I must say had a great experience here. My decision was based on few things like it's a govt college, low fees, great professors, and competitive peer group. The College makes sure that students appear for reputed exams like GATE, ESE and other government exams and prepares the students for them accordingly. There are young passionate professors who guide you throughout your 4 years journey. Small batch sizes and proper attention on students are some of the factors which would compel any student to choose this college.

I chose Civil Engineering. We were the first batch of this college. I chose Civil because I had interest in Mechanics and chose to pursue career in field I adore the most. Currently Admissions are on the basis of JEE Ranking. Under rank of 70-75k one can easily get admission here. Score well in JEE Mains, get a good percentile, appear for JOSAA counselling, fill the college choice and you will be allotted the college depending on your rank. In any semester two class tests and one final semester exams are conducted irrespective of the branch. Academic life is bit tough here, unlike tier 3 private college’s one need to score well in class tests to get a decent score in internals. Rajkiya Engineering College will prepare you well for future endeavors.

Total College fees (yearly) – Rs. 56,400, Tuition fees – Rs. 22,000, Admission fees – Rs. 5,000, Security fees – Rs. 10,000, LAB Charges and miscellaneous – Rs. 12,000, Examination fees – Rs. 5,000, and Library Charges – Rs. 2,400. Some fee waiver seats are allotted for meritorious students. they just have to pay miscellaneous charges. SC/ST candidates don't have to pay any fees their scholarship amount gets directly adjusted in college fees. 100% confirmation of full scholarship here despite the category provided. There should be no errors in your scholarship form and you must submit all the required documents.

Young passionate professors having deep understanding of their subjects. Almost all of them are M.Tech from premium colleges like IIT, IISc and BITS. In our branch few professors have cleared reputed exams like ESE, GATE and UPPSC but resigned later. Classes are equipped with digital boards for better understanding. PPT's are frequent which improves student’s presentation skills. Teacher is ready to clear every doubt, we could approach them to learn a concept which isn't in the course but is included in any other exams. The teacher to student’s ratio at Rajkiya Engineering College is 1:10. Every group is allotted a mentor at the start of semester; students have to be under their guidance. The professors at Rajkiya Engineering College are fun loving, ready to help, and easy to approach.

Despite being a new college, Director Sir has made sure to setup a Placement Cell since the start of college. Mr. Saket Rusia is the head of Placement Cell. The college helped us to improve our soft skills, industrial skills as per the market demand. Few new labs like AutoCAD and StaaD were setup just to train students as per industry's requirement. Quarterly online presentations in collaboration with other premium colleges and industry experts are conducted just to get us acquainted with current updates in our subjects. It also helps students to network with other leadership people in the industries. L&T, Jaypee Infra, Tata Steel, and Prism Cement are some of the constant recruiters. The highest package offered was 9 LPA and average 5.5 LPA. I had a great experience here.

Rajkiya Engineering College offers 3 vast hostels (2 boys’ hostel and 1 girl’s hostel). A single hostel holds around 600 students in total, majority of the rooms are triple sleepers. It has an indoor activity room, TT table, gymnasium, snacks counters (24x7). Girls and boys hostels are separate and located at opposite ends. Mess food quality is moderate here. 4 times meal in a day is offered. Hostel accommodation fees Rs. 12,000 and mess fee is Rs. 30,000. Hostel accommodation fees get refunded along with your scholarship amount. No such rules for boys hostels and I am not aware of girl’s hostel rule. The hostel rooms are a bit congested because of triple seater but in third year you get double seater and in final year you get a single room. So overall good experience.

The Rajkiya Engineering College has newly constructed building with marvelous design. This college is not like other government college where you picture ancient type classroom and damaged furniture. Class room with capacity of almost 70-80 students, digital boards, air conditioned and podiums for teachers. College has vast library with capacity of more than 20k books and 3k journals. It is equipped with good Wi-Fi speed. 3 conference halls. Auditorium is under construction yet. Canteen runs by local vendors but offers great taste and reasonable price. Sports and Medical facilities are available within the campus. Almost 20-30 guards are available every time for assuring the safety of students. Academic block was our favorite place. In front great view of national highway and back was agricultural fields. Newly designed Structure lab was something extraordinary; you can learn the core concepts of civil branch here.

Rajkiya Engineering College has a great campus. Amazing college crowd is here. Literature Clubs, Social Service Clubs, Hackathon Clubs, and Entrepreneurship Cell are some minor clubs here. I was the Secretary of Entrepreneurship Cell. Annual College fest and sports fest are conducted regularly by our college. Abhivyanjana - annual College fest conducted every year at the end of odd semester. Other than this Rajkiya Engineering College conducts Inter-College Sports Meet every year. Other than these, the branches conduct minor fests quarterly at Rajkiya Engineering College.
