VCE Hyderabad Fees, Faculty, and Facilities

My experience at Vardhaman College of Engineering has been mixed. Students who are interested in coding and academics will get solid opportunities at the college. Students are not allowed to take their mobile phone in the college which needs to change. The infrastructure is very good. Overall, it is a good college for me because I’m really interested in Computer Science field.

I have chosen Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) program because it is one of the most popular UG degrees in India. I have also opted for this branch because I am interested in coding. The entry requirement for this course is passing 10+2 in any stream. Students can get admission by either qualifying the TS EAMCET exam or through the management quota. Each semester has 3 exams which includes 2 mid-semester and 1 end semester exam.

My annual college fee is Rs. 1,40,000 along with Rs. 10,000 JNTU fee. We also have to pay Rs. 3,000 examination fee each semester. Special category students can get reimbursement from the Telangana government. The college also provides scholarship to first year students through the Vardhaman Scholarship Test. If you achieve top 3 rank in that test you will get 1 year fees back with 4 years.

Some faculty members in my college are very supportive and friendly. They have very good problem solving abilities and are ready to help us when we are facing any academic issues. Most of our faculties are M.Tech graduates and some have also attained PhDs. Their mode of teaching includes blackboards, PPTs, and smart boards. The student-teacher ratio in our college is 15:1. The college also has 1 mentor for every 20 students. Student can approach their mentors at any time for any query or problem.

Vardhaman College of Engineering has a Placement Cell and a Career Development Cell. They prepare students to excel in job interviews by organising different skills development sessions like soft skills, DSA, and many more. The average package at the college is 3-4 LPA and the highest package is 20 LPA.

The college offers residential facilities to the students which are separate for boys and girls. There are total 150 rooms which can accommodate up to 500 students. The hostel has a Football ground and a Basketball court. The mess serves tasty menu when compared to other institutions. The hostel fee is Rs. 1,80,000.

The college campus is located near Shamshabad in Kacharam village. It is spread around 15 acres land and has 8 blocks which includes a separate block for CSE branch. The classrooms are ICT enabled with projectors and have seating capacity of 70 members. We have very big library in our college along with a canteen which serves great junk food and meals at minimal price. A number of facilities are provided to students at the college which includes fully equipped labs, seminar hall, auditorium, and a fully air conditioned conference hall. AC buses are also provided by the college for which the annual fee is Rs.55,000. My favourite place is the library because it provides a calm environment for studying.

My overall campus life is good because I made many friends and was able to build my skills in my area of interest. Our college is very crowded as 1 year intake is around 1600 students. Students can engage in a number of activities by participating in various clubs such as technical and environment club. Fests and events are organised at the college.
