RGPV Bhopal Admission via JEE Main Scores

RGPV Bhopal is an autonomous state government university. University campus is really beautiful. This university has various departments for engineering like Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Department of Electronics Engineering, Department of Computer Science Engineering, Department of Civil Engineering, Department of Information Technology Engineering, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Department of Architecture, Department of Petrochemical Engineering, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Department of Polytechnic (Diploma), etc. University has one canteen and two shops with a diverse menu.

One should have a decent score in Joint Entrance Exam for admission in this university. This university also provides internship according to your caste and scores in JEE Main exams. Three mid semesters are conducted in one semester and one end semester is conducted at the end of every semester. The course curriculum is designed such that students will get theoretical as well as practical knowledge in their respective fields.

The best part about this university is its fee structure. It is most affordable than any other universities. For someone coming from a financially challenged background can afford this university for pursuing his or her dream. Tuition fee for engineering is just Rs. 22,000 for one year.

I am pursuing Petrochemical Engineering and all the faculties have industrial experience. All the faculties are PhD degree holders from prestigious universities like IITs, NITs, etc. and their teaching skills are excellent. If we ever had a doubt, they are always available to help us. Even they help us in our projects. Faculties are very friendly. Teachers use teaching aids like our conference hall where they show us how a real industry looks like. They also conduct seminars where they invite industrial professionals to guide us and to motivate us.

Campus drive is conducted and decent number of students is placed. Companies like Inbox Air products for core, Accenture, Flipkart, Wipro, TCS, Infosys, etc. for technical fields take students with an average package of 6 to 8 LPA. Training and placement cell also work towards attracting many other companies with decent packages.

There are three hostels for boys and two hostels for girls available with a capacity of around 800 for girls and around 1000 for boys. Hostel fee is very affordable and mess is also affordable. Quality of rooms is really good with occupancy of two students per room. After second year, students are allotted a single room for each. Cleanliness and hygiene is maintained in hostels. Hostel mess provides hygienic food four times a day. Girl’s hostel is very secure for girls and girls are not allowed to go outside after 8:30 PM. Warden and other security officials are friendly and take good care of the hostlers.

Campus is very beautiful. Campus area of RGPV Bhopal is about 242 acres. It has various departments. There is a central library, which has all the books related to all the courses available at university. Knowledge Resource Centre has modern and latest version of computers for students to complete their assignments, projects or just for studies. It is also equipped with AC. There is a sports complex to conduct sports activities (indoor and outdoor games). University’s conference hall is used to conduct various activities like seminars, celebration etc. It is also equipped with ACs, 2 big playgrounds (for outdoor games and for celebration of various festivals), and many more amenities.

Students with decent score in entrance exam only get this university. Hence, the university crowd is competitive. Various clubs are founded and run by students only. Various clubs includes Phoenix club (for encouraging students to pursue coding), E-cell (for encouraging entrepreneurship among students), Rhythm club (for cultural activities like dance and music), etc. Every year, a cultural fest is organized along with various hackathons. For freshers, fresher’s party is organized by their seniors. Campus life is really good as compared to private universities and university does not have a particular uniform therefore it feels like we are really living a campus life.
