Overview of SMVMCH Pondicherry: Student’s Perception

Overall Rating
My experience in SMVMCH Pondicherry is quite good. Faculties are good, especially in first year and clinical exposure is well. College will mainly focus on your academics. In addition, cultural will happen once a year. Management is slightly strict.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen MBBS based on my own interest. Enrollment is based on NEET entrance exam. It is affiliated to Pondicherry University they only conduct university exam. There will three internal assessment test monthly. They will train well for you to study.
I joined here through management quota. My fee is 20 Lakh per annum. If you get admission through government quota, it is 4 Lakh per annum.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty never hesitates to clear your every doubt. Each and every one of them is friendly and helps us to get good marks. Sometimes, they are strict to you disciplined. There is sufficient faculty strength in the department. They use PPTs to teach. Group discussions take place for healthy bonding and great learning. They are easily approachable to resolve your doubts. The bonding between teacher and student is very good.
 

Placement Rating
No, there is no such thing has placements in MBBS
 

Hostel Rating
Yes, SMVMCH Pondicherry provides hostel facilities. Hostels have sufficient rooms. Girls and boys have separate hostel. Rooms are cleaned daily. The timing and rules are very strict.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college’s block is well built. There are huge lecture halls with ACs and demo rooms for group discussion. The college also has study halls, library, separate auditorium, and bus facility. Lifts are available in each block. Hospital is very big with sufficient doctors, great patient flow, and helps us to learn more. Canteens, pharmacy, hotels, stationary, and playgrounds for separate sports such as volleyball, basketball, and football are available in the campus. for relaxation, there is a lotus ponds with sitting area present
 

Campus Rating
Campus life in SMVMCH Pondicherry is normal. Our college has Student Council consist of Sports, Quiz, Technical, cultural events, etc. Cultural events take place once or twice in a year. Seniors are very friendly. There is no ragging in our college as there is anti ragging committee to keep this issue in check.
