RGUKT Srikakulam: Academics & College Life at a Glance

Overall Rating
I chose RGUKT Srikakulam because teaching here is very good. Here, we have experienced faculty members, good environment, different types of sports & musical instruments, & training for classical dance. We have library available here. Every department is prioritized equally. Students not only good at students but also at sports. We have internship and placement opportunities for students in our university with stipend for internship and good salary package. Different companies are visiting our university every year to give job opportunities to the students.
 

Academics Rating
I chose Civil Engineering course because I am very interested in interior designing and estimation and costing. I also learned AutoCAD, STAAD, etc. We have lot of government jobs for this course. Eligibility students who scored highest in tenth examination are selected. Selected students are called to university and their certificates are verified and they got admitted in the university. Exams are conducted according to the given date in academic calendar. We have study hours to prepare well for the examination and to improve our knowledge.
The students in our university are receiving Jagannana Vidhya Deevena and Avasthi Deevena for academic and hostel fee. The fee is credited into the joint account of student and mother. Then students are paid to the university by SBI collect online or through the bank.
 

Faculty Rating
We have faculty members to teach us subjects like Structural Analysis, Soil Mechanics, Environmental Engineering, Transportation Engineering, Foundation Engineering, AutoCAD, Design of Steel Structures, etc. Our faculty members have Masters in subjects and the communication between students and faculty members are very good. They easily teach and helps us in solving problems. The method of teaching is mostly through blackboard, PPT's etc. Sometimes through online teaching. We have more than 100 faculty members and 6000 students in our university.
 

Placement Rating
Our faculty members helps us to get placements. Companies like Amazon, Flipkart, Microsoft, etc. visit our university. They also giving us internships with stipend to the students.
 

Hostel Rating
We have hostel faculties separately for boys and girls in the campus. They are more than 200 rooms in the hostel. We have 6 dining halls, the quality of food is good. Hostel fees is paid by government to students. Hostel timings are 6 AM to 10 PM.
 

Infrastructure Rating
We have three academic blocks. Library are also present here to study, daily newspaper is also provided to us in library. Chemical and other workshops & labs are also available here. We have big auditorium where every events, programs are conducted. We have canteen for boys and girls separately in our hostels. Different types sports like cricket, volleyball, football, tennis, etc. We have a hospital and ambulance facility in our university. We have woman and gents security guards in our hostels.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is very good as compared to my friends who are studying private universities. We have student mitral club, helping hands club, SDCAC club, etc. in our university. These clubs conduct events and extracurricular activities during festivals, holiday, and some special occasions. We will conduct farewell fests for our seniors. We celebrate every festival in our university irrespective of the religion. Our faculty members also participate in games conducted for festival events.

    This is a university popularly named as IIIT SKLM. In this university, there is a 6 year integrated B.Tech course (12th + B.Tech), if you are eligible to get a scholarship, then you can scholarship up to 100% for course fee and hostel fee. Here you will be provided accommodation also which is very safe and you will be provided with a laptop for free of cost.
