Exploring IIT Ropar: Cooperative Professors, Modern Facilities, & Hostels

Overall Rating
IIT Ropar is one of the best engineering institutes in India. I took admission last year. I am very happy and fortunate to get admission in this institute. It is built at very good location as there are has rivers nearby. This institute has better alumni network, mess, hostels, placement statistics, and many other facilities, which makes it a very good institute.
 

Academics Rating
I am pursuing B.Tech in Civil Engineering here at IIT Ropar. I chose this institute and course as my hobby. For entry in this institute, one must clear JEE Exam, IIT JAM Exam, or GATE Exam. These three are the only exams to get seat in this institute. After one of these exams, rank is determined and on the basis of rank, students are allotted a seat in this institute in a respective course.
Here fee for all the courses is affordable. My course fee is Rs. 1,50,000 that includes Rs. 1,13,600 academic fee, and Rs. 36,260 hostel & mess fee for each semester. There are many scholarships and many other financial aids available.
 

Faculty Rating
This faculty of IIT Ropar is very good, kind, and helpful. My course’s professor and other faculty members teach very well. All of them have very good background. They teach on blackboard in lectures and after that, they give us assignments that we have to solve. Teaching assistants help us in all type of problem in specific course. One teaching assistant over approximate of 35 students are provided.
 

Placement Rating
Placement cell is very nice. It helps all students in getting jobs in top companies or in startups. For placement, many companies visit our campus and more than 90% of students are placed every year.
 

Hostel Rating
Hostels of IIT Ropar are very good. There are separate hostels for boys and girls for separate batches. Mess food is very hygienic. We are provided food 3 times a day as breakfast, lunch, dinner as different mess menu for all days & all the courses. Hostels rules are not so strict. Anyone can go out of hostel at any time, there is no restriction for going outside of hostel and campus.
 

Infrastructure Rating
In our campus, there are many academic blocks consisting one super academic block also where separate cabins are there for all faculty members also. There are separate blocks of Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, & Computer Science Engineer also. There are separate grounds for all sports like cricket, hockey, badminton, etc. Classrooms are very nice. There are many other facilities like library, auditorium, medical, transport, security, etc. My favorite thing in my institute infrastructure is academic blocks.
 

Campus Rating
My campus life is very good. There are many students from different region of India. There are many clubs for photography, dance, coding, singing, eSports, and many other clubs. I am part of two clubs here. There are many extracurricular activities like bhangra sessions, dandiya night, cultural fests, tech fest, sports fest, and great celebrations happen for many festivals like Ganesh Chaturthi, Basant Panchami, Diwali, Holi, and many other festivals. My campus life is going so good.
