Admission Process and Fees at MSM Institute of Ayurveda Sonipat

MSM Institute of Ayurveda is one of the best government Ayurvedic medical institutes of Haryana. It is well known for its highest number of selections for MD and AMO posts. This institute also has best faculty. I chose this institute because of the patient flow in its hospital and highly skilled faculty. The surgery department is the best among all the other Ayurvedic institutes of Haryana. That’s why I think girls should opt this one.

The course I am enrolled in is BAMS that is basically a medical professional course to become a Doctor i.e., an Ayurvedic doctor. In our course, we gain the knowledge of both Ayurvedic and Allopathic medicine that fascinated me the most. Girl candidates who have qualified in NEET and cleared the cut off that is around 600+ for general category are eligible for enrolling in this institute. The admission in this institute is done by NCISM counseling based on NEET rankings. The exams are taken twice an year and final exams are taken after 1.5 years. The academics with practical knowledge prepare me to withstand all the competition I am going to face in hospitals in future.

The fee is Rs. 67,500 per year, which includes Rs. 37,500 of tuition fee and Rs. 30,000 management charges. Discounts are not given to anyone in fee but the government provides scholarships to backward class students through various schemes. The scholarship amount is around Rs. 80,000. My batch mates this scholarship.

The faculty members are very skilled and supportive. They encourage us to study hard for becoming a successful doctor. All the faculty members are BAMS and MD qualified. Some are AMO in the institute hospital and some are PhD holders. The teachers teach us with the help of books, smart boards, PPT, and models. Anatomy practical classes are done on cadaver and real bones. The teachers solve our doubts in the best possible way. The teachers to student ratio are around 1:20. I have a very good bond with all my teachers and they are quite approachable whenever the students want to.

The placement cell is present in MSM Institute of Ayurveda and it does its work in the best possible way. The cell helps in getting the students placed in big companies of which the students desired to. Companies like Dabur, Patanjali, Jeva Ayurveda, etc. visit the institute for recruitment. The average package offered to students is 6 Lakh Per Annum and highest package until now is 16 Lakh Per Annum.

The institute provides residential facilities. It has hostel. The total rooms in hostel are 80 and each room is in quadruple sharing. Recreational activities take place from time to time in the hostel. As the institute is only for girls, there is no boy’s hostel. The mess food is average. The annual hostel room charge is Rs. 11,000 and mess fee is Rs. 2,700 per month. Hostel warden is very strict and doesn't allow going out of the premises without parent’s permission. Hostel timings are 7 AM to 7 PM. My personal experience is good in hostel.

The campus has a building for BAMS students, a separate hospital building, and a building for Ayurvedic Pharmacy students. The campus is located in Khanpur Kalan, Sonipat that is a village area. The classrooms are big enough, some classrooms are provided with smart boards and projectors. The seating capacity of classrooms varies from 60 to 100 students per class. The campus has library facility, which has all the curriculum books. There are separate labs for all the subjects. For anatomy, there are two labs. There is a big conference hall for conduction of different programs. A canteen with the name ‘Food court’ is present within the premises. Sports complex is present. For medical facility, the institute has its own hospital. My favorite place is Charak Vatika, which is basically a herbal park in the institute premises, it is quite peaceful. The presence of both hospital and pharmacy within the premises complements our academic and practical experience.

The overall campus life is amazing. There are only girl students in MSM Institute of Ayurveda and institute crowd is quite good. Students clubs are there for organizing fests, hostel functions, and sports competitions. Extracurricular activities like Dance competitions and Kavi Sammelan are organized by the institute. Alumni meet, Youth fest, and Intra institute sports competitions are organized at the institute. Talent hunts are also organized in the institute. On the festivals like Holi, Diwali, Dusshera, and Teej, the institute organizes cultural fests that students enjoy a lot.
I have had a great experience of my institute life until now.
