JNNCE: One of the Best Engineering Colleges

Overall Rating
Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering is considered as one of the best engineering college present in Shivamogga and in nearby districts. It is one of the things which made me to choose this college. Teaching quality is also quite good with helping faculty members. Campus is big and green with big grounds and other facilities. Extra curriculum activities are also conducted very frequently which involve both technical and non technical events where students can showcase their talents.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Computer Science Engineering (CSE) as it is one of the booming industry in India. For getting admission into this college is through KCET or COMEDK or management seat. You should pass the cutoff criteria to get the admission through KCET and COMEDK. In engineering there will be 8 semester (4 years). In each semester there will be 2-3 internal tests for both lab and theoretical subjects and one final / external exam for each subjects in that semester.
Fee structure depends on the mode of your admission. If it is through KCET fee will be around Rs. 1,10,000 and for COMEDK it will be around Rs. 1,80,000. For management seat it varies for different branches, i.e., it will be more for IT branches like nearly Rs. 3,50,000 than non-IT branches.
 

Faculty Rating
Faculty members at Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering are highly educated and helpful towards the students. Most of them have Ph.D. Mostly teaching is done through blackboard or PPTs presentation. Reference books are available in library if the student wants they can refer books. They can even borrow the books from library and have to return it after certain time period. Faculty members are friendly with student; student can ask and clarify their doubts with them anytime.
 

Placement Rating
After 6th semester students will be eligible for attending the placement drives. Placement will conduct different placement related activity to make the students placement ready like giving student training on aptitude so that they can easily crack the aptitude test and also provide different training to crack the interview. Mostly startups will come for hiring the students. TCS will conduct the mass on-campus hiring every year.
 

Infrastructure Rating
Infrastructure wise, the Jawaharlal Nehru National College of Engineering is good with big campus. Every branch has its own building and lab. Library is present inside the campus where students can borrow books for reference and has to return it within the specific time. Different courts for indoor games are also present in the campus. Big Cricket ground, volley ball court, throwball court, etc. are also present here. Campus is big and beautiful and full of greenery. Canteen is also present inside the campus.
 

Campus Rating
Every year a college fest will be there called Janvey. It includes flash mob, ethnic day, musical night, sports and extra curriculum activities like both technical and non technical events where students can showcase their talent and win prizes. Every branch has their own individual fest in which they conduct different events where students participate in huge number. They also conduct different competitions like dance, singing, painting, sports, etc., where student participate.
