Career Prospects with Yenepoya University's IBM and TCS Certifications

The factors that made me choose this Yenepoya University were the certification value, lots of options and many opportunities they provide. They provide us the internship and placement as well. The academics of the university are pretty good as the faculties teach very well.

The course chosen by me is BCA (Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning and Robotics) with IBM and TCS certification. Eligibility criteria are like the student must have at least 50% in their 12th grade. Before the class starts we have counselling sessions to complete the admission process. We have 2 internals for each semester and the Internals would be conducted by every 2 months, like the first internals will be conducted 30 days after that particular semester commenced, the second internals will be after the 30 days of first internals and duration of each semester will be like 4-5 months. The academics are pretty good as the faculties teach very well and they provide each and every element which is essential for our semester examinations. We have study holidays for both practical and theory semester end exams and these holidays are very helpful for students to study.

Fee of the course I had chosen at Yenepoya University is like Rs. 1, 65,000 per year as we have the certification of both IBM and TCS. Students should pay Rs. 1, 30,000 per year for the course with TCS certification only. So the course fee will be around Rs. 1, 30,000. The fees include tuition fees amount, exam fees and every other charge, there is no need to pay any extra charges. According to the information I have, there is no discount for the specific category students. Only the scholarships are provided for those students who had secured at least 90% of marks in their 12th grade and at least 75% marks in their odd semester. The scholarship is applied to the even semester only. By securing scholarship a student with IBM and TCS certification needed to pay Rs. 1,30,000 and I’m paying Rs. 1, 30,000 with IBM and TCS certification as I have scholarship. For admission we need to pay Rs. 26,000 as admission fee and this will be reduced from the first semester fees.

The faculties for teaching the course I had chosen at Yenepoya University are pretty good at teaching. We have facilities with experience and without experience. But most of the faculties teach very well. We have faculties who had doctorate in particular subjects. The problem solving abilities of some faculties are good. We have around 50+ facilities including all courses. The student’s strength will be around 7000+. Some faculty members are very good at approaching but few of the faculty members are not that good.

Yenepoya University is providing placement for the interested students and they are providing internships as well. Companies like IBM, TCS, and Microsoft are also providing placements in Yenepoya University as our university had collaborations with them. I’m not sure about the packages offered by the recruiters may be they will be like average of 6 lakh per annum. I didn’t have any personal placement experience as I’m still studying in 4th semester.

For now, Yenepoya University is not providing any residential facilities. Hostel facilities were available here earlier but currently they have stopped providing any such facilities to the students. Earlier we had around 50 rooms in girl’s hostel and it includes 2 sharing and 4 sharing. The rooms were average and the hostel fee was around Rs. 1, 30,000 for per year including food.

The campus of Yenepoya University as we had only 2 floors as a campus. The inside infrastructure of our university was very pretty good as they provide smart boards, AC, fan, etc. in the classrooms. The seating capacity of majority of classes is 120. Academics facilities were average here as we didn’t have any auditorium or conference hall. We have a cafeteria inside our campus and they would allow us to enter the cafeteria only during the break times. Other facilities and infrastructure are pretty good at Yenepoya University for our courses and academic experiences. We also have a computer lab with a seating capacity of 120 students.

If you are looking for campus life, there is not a very exciting campus life here because we didn’t have any campus except 2 floors. The crowd in university is huge as we have very high strength of students. We have many clubs in the university and I’m not a part of any of that. There are so many extracurricular activities that are organised by the Yenepoya University. We also have an annual fest named Yenotsav and the experience I had in this fest was really good.
