B.N.M. Institute of Technology: Shaping the Future of Engineering Education

Overall Rating
B.N.M. Institute of Technology is an academically excellent institute, it is well disciplined, organised and well structured institute. This institute gives a lot of importance to sports and extracurricular activities like badminton, cricket, table tennis, carrom, etc. This institute teaches students how to lead a decent life. This is the only institute that has nature club and gives more importance to it more than any other club.
 

Academics Rating
I have chosen Electrical and Electronics course. you should definitely opt this course if you have passion in the field of electronics, as electronic fields is growing to peak, opportunities of getting jobs are more in this field, and specially EEE students have opportunities in software as well as government jobs . Every month after completion of 1 to 2 modules there will be internals of 30 marks. It is compulsory to attend all internals.
At B.N.M. Institute of Technology, Rs. 10, 00,000 is the fee for students taking admission through KCET and Rs. 30,000 is the tuition fee. They charge Rs. 30,650 for SC/ST category students, where Rs. 650 is KCET fees and Rs. 30,000 as tuition fees. Yes, for student scoring merits, they have been given scholarships.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculty members at B.N.M. Institute of Technology are really friendly and approachable. They are very encouraging. Almost all faculty members have done Ph.D. They teach the concept using ppt, white board and labs. Every 10 students have separate mentors who they can always approach to whenever in need. Mentors take care of PTM’s, student’s performance, attendance and student’s concerns. They always encourage students by filling hope in them. My personal favorite teachers are L.Venkata Reddy sir (HOD), Shruti Joshi mam (Electronics teacher) and Kumar sir (Computer teacher).
 

Placement Rating
Placements activities start from 5th Sem. B.N.M. Institute of Technology’s placements are done on the basis of student’s skills and knowledge and not on basis of their CGPA. Companies such as Bosh, TCS, EMC, Toyota, etc. visit our institute. The minimum package is 5 lakh per annum and maximum is 40 lakh per annum. Almost all of the students of B.N.M. Institute of Technology get placed.
 

Hostel Rating
I have not taken hostel but my friends who stay there says that rooms are well organised and kept clean. Washrooms are neat. The mess food can be improved a little bit.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The campus looks small but it’s actually huge. There are 3 main blocks, one auditorium block, and 2 other buildings in B.N.M. Institute of Technology. The institute canteen needs to be improved, but the food prices are really affordable and student friendly. There is also a medical room for any kind of emergency. Libraries are well organised, clean, and have plenty of required books. They also have digital libraries where students can visit and study using monitors for any kind of research purposes.
 

Campus Rating
The overall campus is really good, decent and sufficient for students. The crowd in campus is really decent and disciplined. There are almost 23 clubs and student can register to any 3 of them according to their interest. One different thing about this institute compared to others is that they give more importance to sports, NCC and extracurricular activities. Fests and functions are really less which is a major drawback in this institute. B.N.M. Institute of Technology is really good academically and is much disciplined.

    This is no doubt; BNM Institute of Technology is one of the top 10 engineering colleges in Bangalore. The college is well equipped with good learning infrastructure. It is very academic oriented; you will end up getting good grades and placements at the end too. There is a cricket couching held by the college for the college team which is free.     BNMIT is a private, independent institution. It was founded in 1972 by the nonprofit organisation Bhageerathi Bai Narayana Rao Maanay Charities. The NAAC awards this institute a "A" rating. VTU, Belgaum is linked with this Institute. Additionally, AICTE has authorised this institution. By NIRF ranking, this institute is now ranked 186.
