SVECW Bhimavaram: Academic Excellence and Student-Centric Learning

Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women has good infrastructure, placements, academics, and extra-curricular activities.

SVECW Bhimavaram offers high quality education in a number of streams including Engineering, Pharmacy, Dental, Polytechnic, Management, and many more. The academics help students prepare for interviews. Each academic year is divided into 2 semesters and 2 exams are conducted in the middle of each semester. This includes a 30 marks exam in which 5 marks are for course activity, 10 marks for MCQs and 15 marks for descriptive test. Furthermore, the 70 marks exams have 5 long questions for 12 marks and 5 short questions of 2 marks. This makes a total of 100 marks. The faculty shows students real-time examples to the students so that they can understand complicated concepts.

At Shri Vishnu Engineering College for Women, my fee is Rs. 77,000, book charges are Rs. 12,000. Students also have to pay registration fee of Rs. 1,000 each semester.

The faculties are very well educated and friendly as students can confidently ask them any doubts. Their problem solving skills are excellent. They motivate students beyond academics and help them achieve their full potential. Their mode of teaching is either blackboards or presentations. If we are absent due to health issues, the teachers don’t get annoyed and instead explain each concept patiently. Students get to participate in various learning activities like jams, group discussions, debates, conversations, speech, etc. In our college, we have smart interviews which teach us about data structures and algorithms.

Our placement cell faculties are very encouraging. They inform us about internship or job opportunities. Recently, more than 1,000 students have been placed at reputed firms at Shri Vishnu Engineering College.

Our college provides residential facilities because students from different districts pursue higher education here. The hostel fees is fee is Rs. 90,000. Hostelers can access library and labs at night. Overall, hostel life is very good as clean and hygienic environment is provided to students.

My college has lush green environment which promotes natural cooling during summers so that students don’t feel the extreme heat. The architecture is designed very well with fully-furnished classrooms where students can study comfortably. The canteen provides many tasty food items for lunch. The college has various academic and non-academic facilities like stationary shop, medical support, seminar hall, auditorium, yoga, sports, gym, transportation, fruits shop, and many other things.

Many festivals and fests are organised in our college in a grand manner. Recently, a big fest was held in our college which had various stalls, games, and attractions. The college also has various clubs for dance, drawing, acting, coding, and other activities. This includes Rhythmic Thunders club for artists, Hobby Horses club, MECOW club, ISTE club, Rock me Fab Club, etc. I am the coordinator of MECOW, ISTE and Hobby Horses club. ISTE is a student club where we motivate students to speak up, in the MECOW club we celebrate UNO days by designing chart, and in Hobby Horses we showcase our artistic talent.
