DAV PG College Dehradun: Affordable College in the City

Overall Rating
DAV PG College is a government college affiliated to Hemwati Nandan Bahuguna University, Garhwal. I chose this college because it offers a wide array of courses across different streams. It is best college in Dehradun and its degree is very valuable. It is a suitable choice for students who want to attain a graduation degree from a government affiliated college. I would definitely suggest this college to the students who are preparing for government or any other competitive exam while pursuing their graduation. It has affordable fee structure, good teachers, well maintained infrastructure, and interactive campus life.
 

Academics Rating
There college offers many prominent courses like B.Com, B.Sc, B.A, M.Sc, M.Com, M.A etc. The best part about this college is that it does not have strict attendance requirements. I applied for DAV PG College online and achieved 4th rank in merit. I completed my graduation in B.Com which was 3 years or 6 semester course.
The fee is very low as compared to any other institutions. The total fee for my program was only Rs. 12,000.
 

Faculty Rating
The faculties of the college are good and experienced. They help students at every point in their journey. The professors support students to excel in their studies and extracurricular activities. There are almost 200 faculties in the college. Group discussions are conducted regularly in the class. I remember almost every teacher who taught me during my 3 years at this college.
 

Placement Rating
The placement services at the college could be improved because there is not much scope of placement at this college. Students have to find jobs on their own after completing their graduation.
 

Hostel Rating
The college does not have any hostel facilities.
 

Infrastructure Rating
This campus has a beautiful view because it is surrounded by greenery. It has good parking facility, well maintained classrooms, clean toilets, and a library with large collection of books including Hindi literature. The college offers first-aid facility to students. Boxing, Wushu, Camping, and many other sports facilities are available at the college. Many students who excelled in sports that have completed their course from here. Students can access ATM, book stores, and food stalls nearby the college.
 

Campus Rating
Overall campus life is very good in this college. It has huge student population as 300-500 students are present at the college during normal days. Students can participate in various extracurricular activities like NCC. My favourite part at the college was watching NCC cadets’ parade in the college ground during Independence and Republic day.

    I joined as a naive learner in this college and it was my best decision. This college has provided me with the base and detailing of my career. The professors here are knowledgeable and most of them have proficient command over their subjects. They hold Ph.Ds and other detailed qualifications. This college promotes self-studying.
