Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management, Varanasi is affiliated to AKTU University, Lucknow. Institute has a wonderful campus spreading in the area of more than 15 acres with greenery all over the campus. Institute provides free Wi-Fi to all the student. Fee for Bachelor of Pharmacy is 1.2 Lakh. This college is good for pharmacy in general. I choose this institute because it was near my home and I heard that this college has the best labs. Others should join this course if they want a good pharmacy college with good infrastructure and best Labs. One of the most important highlight of the college is the Cleanliness and Discipline. Campus is pollution free and air quality is also good.

B. Pharma is a professional course which means it provides skills required for the industry. This course has the balance of theory and practical. Now a days admissions are done through the CUET exam after which students have to do counseling. There is also another way to get admission which is through the management seats. After the counseling students goes through the admission process which is offline in college. To be eligible for this particular course one need to done their 12 standard with minimum 65 percentage in Physics, Chemistry and math or Physics, Chemistry and Biology. I take admission in this course because I wanted to make a career in the Pharmaceutical Industries. Course is 4 year long which is divided into 8 semesters. To complete each semester one should submit all the assignment, lab files, practical and then the final exam after the classes.

Faculties are best in Ashoka Institute of Technology and Management and their style of teaching is amazing. Since course is balanced between theory and practical hence it requires deep understanding of theory to understand the practical counterpart. All the faculty members are PhD qualified and very experienced. Faculty's way of explanation is good and they teach every concept from very low level to high level. Lab instructors are also very good in this course. Many faculty members done job in pharma industries hence they give some extra skills that are required for the industries.

Placement and training cell is present in the Institute and it provides good placements for the students in good and reputed companies. But not many companies visit for the recruitment of pharmacy students. More than 100 companies visit the campus for placement but only 10 companies include pharmacy student in their recruitment drive. Last year only 40 percent pharmacy students got placed in the companies in which only half of the placed student got placed in pharma industry and other are placed in software companies. Average package in my batch was 5 LPA and highest package was of 10 LPA which was offered by HealthKart. Some of the companies that visit campus are M Cure pharma, Sugar Cosmetics, Mankind Pharma, Sun Pharma etc.

I did not opt for the college hostel but My friend applied for the college hostel because he was from Mirzapur. College hostel fee was Rs. 90,000 and it must be deposited after the hostel allotment in the admission process. Since I was a day scholar hence I was not allowed to stay in the campus after the class timing because the sports and other facilities are for the hostellers. I have seen that PG outside the campus gives one room in just 6000 per month in which 3 times a day meal is included.

College infrastructure is great with lot of greenery in the campus and lot of free space in the campus. Institute have only 4-5 academic block nut all of them are well maintained and pollution free. There is one block is dedicated Pharmacy. Since college is not so old and it was established in 2010 hence the structure of the college is modern and very well maintained. Classrooms are very clean and they have projectors and all the classrooms are air-conditioned. Library is also available in the campus which has every book which we need.

Life at AITM is balanced with enjoyment and study. There are some fest that happens every year in the college like ABHYUDAYA which is a cultural fest which happens every year in the month of June and also there also a fest called Aakriti which happens every year in which student takes participation and perform. There is also a farewell event that happens for the last year students who leave the campus and become alumni. Ragging does not happen in the campus because campus is ragging free. There are some clubs in the college like Story Telling Club, Social help club, Pragmatic Society etc.
