RDIAS New Delhi: Exceptional Faculty, Placement Opportunities

RDIAS New Delhi is located in near the Pitampura metro station in Rohini East. My experience at the institute has been great. The institute has highly qualified faculties and great placement opportunities. I chose this institute because it is well-known and is affiliated to GGSIPU. My goal was to develop my interview skills, analytical skills, and leadership skills in Finance field. This industry oriented approach of the institute made it an ideal choice for me. Furthermore, it also offers opportunities in Marketing and HR domain which further influenced me choose this institute over other private colleges.

The institute only offers only 2 courses which are BBA and MBA. B.Com (Hons.) will be introduced from this year. I chose this institute for BBA as its practical approach of teaching gives in-depth industry relevant knowledge. The eligibility criteria for this course is completing 12th class with a minimum of 50% marks and qualifying the Common Entrance Test (CET) conducted by GGSIPU. The admission process begins with counselling. Here, students have to choose preference of institute and verify their documents. After this, students can get admission in the institute by paying the required fee. The exams are regularly conducted in each semester. Apart from this, one internal examination, viva, presentation and one external examination are also conducted at the institute.

The fee of my course is about Rs.1,25,000. It is paid once a year for 2 semesters. The fee is deposited in the month of August. It contains a security amount of Rs. 16,000 which is refunded after completion of degree. The institute offers fee waiver to students according to their annual income range.

The faculty members at the institute are highly qualified and experienced specialized in different domains. Most professors hold PHD degrees and PG qualifications. Many faculties have also published their research papers and have attended and participated in international conferences. I am also working on one research paper with my faculty. They use blackboards and PPTs in class. They also organise group discussions, discuss case based concepts, and conduct live projects to make learning more interactive. I have done a live project on digital marketing. The faculties of our institute provide mentorship regarding competitive exams, internships, and career guidance. They help students in terms of and personality development. I have a nice bonding with some of my faculties.

Our institute has a training and placement cell which helps students to get placed at reputed organisations. It makes students job ready roles by conducting various skill development programs like resume building, MS Excel training, Power BI, and many more. It also invites corporate experts for workshops which bridges the gap between a students and industry. Recently the manager of KPMG came to the institute to share industry insights. Internships opportunities are available to the students from second year. The cell organises career fair in March, April, and May. Average package for my program ranges from 3 LPA to 4 LPA which is a decent amount for this course. Students are recruited in management domains like Finance, HR, Marketing, etc. My seniors got placed in HDFC bank, Wipro, EY, ICICI bank, Infosys, and Accenture. I hope I also get placed in one of them by the end of this year.

Our institute does not provide hostel facilities. Students have to make living arrangements though PGs in nearby areas.

The overall campus size is not very large. Every classroom has air conditioners. The library has a large selection of books and the labs have computers and microphones. The canteen does not provide a wide variety of food which should be improved. My favourite part of the institute is the library where I like to read books about personality development. The institute also provides an online portal which contains a track of attendance, lectures notes, time table, etc.

The campus life is boring due to restrictions which should be amended. There is a high spirit of competition among peers. The institute has various clubs like, Academic Club, Sports Clubs, Photography Club, Finance, HR, Marketing Club, Drama Club, Sursargam Club, Credence-Debate Club, Social Club etc. Students can also participate in NSS at the institute. Participating in these clubs can make the students’ life more engaging and can promote out of the box learning. The institute organizes a 2-day cultural fest every year in February which is called "Raazmattaz". It is held in RDPS school campus and famous singers like Laqshay Kapoor are invited to the campus.
