My overall experience at the Rustamji Institute of Technology, Gwalior is moderate. I chose this institute because it’s run by BSF and also the fee was less as compared to other institutes. Here, management is handled by BSF headquarters. If you want to join or work in defense, then you must enroll here.

The course I chose is Bachelor of Technology in Computer Science because I wanted to learn about cyber security and pursue career in the same. Admission is given on three basis, one by BSF quota, second by CAPF quota and lastly through JEE Main. In each semester there are two mid semester tests and a final end semester exam conducted by RGPV. The academic curriculum is good.

The fee of my course is Rs. 41,372 per semester. Yes, special discount in fee is provided to some categories, such as economically weak students, single parent students, etc. Scholarship given to students by NSP is of Rs. 20,000.

All the faculty members are well qualified and experienced. Their method of teaching is a combined use of blackboards, PPTs, and group discussions. The teacher student ratio is not so good and more hiring is required. The problem solving skills of faculty is average. My experience with every teacher is good. All the faculty members are very cooperative and helpful in nature.

Overall, at present placements are not good, both because of students and institute. The highest package is around 12 LPA and average placement is 3 LPA to 4LPA. Renowned companies like LG, Wipro, Audi, etc. come for placements. I would recommend you to choose some other institute if, you are interested in on campus placements.

Yes, Rustamji Institute of Technology, Gwalior offers residential facilities for students. Boys’ and girls’ have separate hostels. There are approx. 30 rooms in 1st year. Each room contains 4 beds. The mess hygiene is very good because there is a daily inspection on food quality by BSF and hostel warden. Hostel fee per year is Rs. 74,000. Monthly fee is Rs. 6150. Hostel rules and regulations must be followed by 1st year students. My experience is good; you must stay here if you are from other state.

The campus's academic block and structure is good. Campus size is of 200. But the locality is more like a rural area. Academics facility like library is very good, as it is fully air conditioned with good sitting arrangement and variety of course and non course books. Institute has its own seminar hall but auditorium is not of the institute; we use CSMT’s auditorium. Institute provides best sports facilities for various sports such as kabaddi, football, volleyball, cricket, boxing, kho- kho, handball, table tennis, and badminton. This is one of the good points about institute. Canteen is average not too big. Transport is also good. Medical facilities are available here but not too good. Security and other facilities are good as well.

My campus life at Rustamji Institute of Technology, Gwalior is good because of sports only. There are many sports facilities for hostellers. Institute crowd is good and is from all across India. There are many clubs for students like ‘Geeks’, which is specially for coding, ‘Robolution’ for innovation, and ‘Abhivyakti’ for personal development and culture activities. Extracurricular activities are organized by the institute especially in the sports sphere at institute level. Events and fest are occasionally held. Overall, along with striving excellence in academics, I am enjoying my college life really well.
