Overall Rating
ST Columba's College, Hazaribagh is one of the top colleges in Jharkhand for UG and PG courses. This college has a great reputation and is trustworthy for the students’ future. I chose this college because it provides great facilities and quality teachers with low fee structure. This college provides scope in many things apart from studies, such as dancing, film making, singing, sports, etc. It is one of the reasons I chose it.
 

Academics Rating
I am doing Economic Honors because I want to be an economist in future. I love economic subject since class 7th and therefore, I chose it. Admission in the college is given by merit list system and minimum 60% marks in honors subject in class 12th board is required. For admission, you need to appear in CUET exam and after that apply application form in chancellor’s portal. After that selection will be done according to merit. College takes tests on the monthly basis and an end semester exam is conducted by the university. College is very strict in terms of exams and discipline. Also, minimum 75% of attendance is required.
Fee for Economics honors is Rs. 6000 per semester. Examination fee is Rs. 750 per semester and admission fee is paid only one time when you took admission that is approx. Rs. 10,000, which may vary according to courses. Scholarship is not provided by the college but state government provides it for OBC, ST, and SC category.
 

Faculty Rating
The teachers are very good in teaching and guiding. They have done Masters and are highly experienced in their subjects. Teachers help in solving the doubt and motivate us. They teach us with the help of smart boards in an audio visual manner. Bonding between teacher and student is like family. Teacher and student ratio is like 1 teacher per 50 students. Teachers give homework to create MCQs in the topic taught.
 

Placement Rating
Placement rate is not so good. Highest package was 35 LPA and average package was 6 LPA this year.
 

Hostel Rating
The college does not provide any hostel or mess facility. Students have to find their own sources.
 

Infrastructure Rating
The college has a well stocked library. College provides washrooms and water aquifers on all floors. Classrooms are good with a seating capacity of 100 students. For sports, there is a big ground to play football and cricket, volleyball court, basketball court, kabbadi court, etc. are present. For security purpose CCTV cameras are installed throughout the campus and in the classrooms. College has Wi-Fi service, fully equipped auditoriums, and seminar halls as well. Overall, infrastructure of ST Columba's College, Hazaribagh is good with a neat and clean campus.
 

Campus Rating
Campus life is good. We celebrate various festivals in college campus with all students, teachers, and staff as family members. Extracurricular activities happen in college seminar hall. In December every year, college organize sports day in which students of many colleges are invited to participate in different kinds of sports activities such as swimming, running, Kho-kho, cricket, football, chess, and others. ST Columba's College, Hazaribagh in this way motivates students to participate in various activities. Overall, my college life is sailing smooth.
