NMIMS Hyderabad's B.Pharm + MBA Course Admission & Fees

I have now spent about 2 years in this institute. My experience was full of learning. I got opportunity to learn from the best faculty, to make connection with industry experts, and insights of various scholars. I learned soft skills, along with practical application through student driven clubs and committee. The reason, I selected it was the dual degree benefit this institute provides. It has great reputation and strong industry ties, which gives chances of great placement for students in reputed companies. I applied for many institutes in Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, and Maharashtra like DY Patil, MIT WPU, etc. but after researching and consultation from alumni of these, I chose NMIMS Hyderabad Campus.

My course B.Pharm + MBA is a unique combination, which gives opportunity to explore pharmaceutical industry by business and corporate perspective. It’s a 4 years course in which one year can be saved and used for internship or preparation of competitive exams. If you want to go for a perfect blend of both Business Studies and Science, this course will be a perfect one. The entry requirement for this course is scoring minimum 50% marks in 12th class in Science subjects. For admission, the entrance exam called NMIMS CET has to be cracked and accordingly you will get the campus. The admission details are sent via e-mail or are explained through calls, after the NMIMS CET result is announced. It is a simple process. The Exams are conducted very frequently. There are 2 mid semester exams and 1 end semester exam. Academic curriculum of this institute claims that they make you industry ready.

The fee for my course is Rs. 1,95,000 per year. This includes all the charges like tuition fee, admission fee, registration fee, laboratory fee, security deposit, etc. There are no scholarships.

NMIMS Hyderabad faculty members are the best in India, each one of them has mastery over their subject. The faculty members are very well renowned in India and are qualified from India's top education institutes. They come from AIIMS, NIPER, ICT, etc. The teaching method is student friendly, faculty will teach as per the comfort of student. They teach with the help of PPTs, whiteboard, GDs, etc. Most of the time PPTs are preferred. The student teacher ratio is 1:20. My experience with my mentor is very good, he has helped me a lot with my academics and personal life.

Yes, there is a placement cell present in the institute. ‘Placekon’ is the name of our institute’s placement cell. Guest lectures are conducted frequently. Tech fest is conducted to draw the attention from various companies. The companies like Dabur, Aurobindo, Hetero, etc. visit our campus for placements and other activities. The packages are better than any other institute. This year highest package was 9 LPA while average was 7 LPA. In previous batch the highest was 12 LPA and average was 9 LPA. I have not yet sat for placements.

Yes, the NMIMS Hyderabad provides residential facilities. It offers hostel accommodation to both boys and girls. The boys’ hostel is 7 storied; each floor has 16 bedrooms, pantry, and a reading hall. The rooms have 4 beds. TV room, gym, mess, game room, general store, and laundry are situated on ground floor. The food is decided by student driven hostel committee. The quality of food varies but it is good most of the time. The hygiene is very-well maintained. The hostel fee is Rs. 2,25,000 annually. The hostel has strict rules.

The academic block is completely high-tech with all modern facilities. Academic building has 7 floors, where all stream students study. Institute has common room where students relax and enjoy activities like carom, chess, and pool. The building is facilitated with elevator. The campus is of 90 acres. Location is quite 12 km away from village called Jadcherla and 80 km from Hyderabad. It is located at Bangalore-Hyderabad Highway. The library facility is available for 12 hours. The course books and magazines are available here. There is also a multipurpose hall, an air-conditioned auditorium, and a conference room. Canteen is on ground floor; not wide variety of food is available. For day scholars bus services are available at extra cost. 24/7 security guards and CCTV surveillance is present. About sports, an all-purpose open ground, cricket nets, basketball court, pickle ball court, tennis court, skating ring, etc. facilities are provided. Other than this, campus is facilitated with Wi-Fi access. My favorite place in campus is sports arena, where I practice for my institute’s cricket team. Classrooms have a capacity for 60 students, equipped with a podium, blackboard, smart board, and AC. The classroom chairs are comfortable.

The campus life is not so exciting, as many construction works are going on in the campus, due to which many restrictions are applied on the students. The crowd of the institute is very diverse; people from all over India come to study here. It helps in making good friends all over India. There are many students driven clubs & committees, who manage events and programs in campus. I am part of sports committee. NMIMS Hyderabad conducts grand fests. Many festivals are also celebrated in the campus such as Holi, Onam, etc. The overall experience of campus life in this institute is average.
